Buff epics?

    That page does not have raw data of weapon's damage and those are only estimates of real damages. I'm sorry but that is fan based page and that does say it might have errors there.

    What's more, I did have 1 dmg point different at epic III bc (with only burn bonus perks) and rare IV (with 2x 6% dmg bonus and fire bonus perk), both max lv of the tier. Doesn't this tell quite much that the page has incorrect information there?

    Now without those dmg +6% perks, those blasties dmg is same in 5 dmg range and epic is same, rare is 45.

    In some ways, I see the point though.

    Epic items are in this weird middle ground. They're not common enough to be your staple items like Rares (three chests a week, just from questing and logging in, plus you can reasonably assemble them from pieces and upgrade as a F2Per) but not powerful enough like a Legendary (where if you get a complete item from a chest, just start using it right away because it's better than its Rare will ever become.)


    Edit: Well forget all of that, you can't pull a complete Legendary item from a chest.

    Personally, I'd like to be able to recycle my Epic pieces downward into Rares. Ditto the parts and cells. Maybe a 2x multiplier?

    You can't find complete item from chests. You can only combine from pieces. (source: Devs)

    Epics aren't a middle ground. It's what the F2P and P2P would want to achieve at end-game(players like Orpheus, Thunder Sword, Eddieziera), and they are superior to Legendaries and much more attainable to get to T4-T5 with all 4 Perk slots. Legendaries are still weaker; need to the 4th Perk slot, and less damage/stats until higher than T3.

    The only players that have the privilege to have T4+ Legendaries are the whales that have spent thousands to 10s of thousands on this game.

    Personally, I think a F2Per using or hoping to use Epics is an anomaly, and nowhere near what the general playerbase should be expecting to get.

    I'd bet they've spent more, personally. Wasn't there a breakdown somewhere that said it cost something like $600 to "buy" a Legendary item? Now imagine having to get four of the same one. You're going to spend more than 4x the cost of finding "any one legendary" - you've gotta play the odds, and the house always wins.

    In that one, there's some assumptions made -
    1. You're buying the 3900-pearl Crates (10x Premium Chest) and not getting any extra Legendary pieces from luck
    2. You'll need to open 27 of the 3900-pearl Crates to get 10 of the same color of piece to combine

    It just takes time. Time that only most of the beta players (including myself) are aiming towards. The earlier beta players got it a lot easier with the old Shop, as they were able to get more epics (players like Porthos, Orpheus etc). This current shop system was already discussed about and @Kitterini has calculated that it could possibly take 3-4 years worst case scenario for a F2P player to get a MAX T5 Epic.

    Don't expect to get high epics in 2-3 months, not going to happen. This game is designed to be a at least 1-2 year timeframe to get to End-game via F2P.


    Yes, which is why I mentioned "10s of thousands" There's a player with full T5 Legendaries, and it's reported that he's spent approximately 35K USD on that account.

    Not disagreeing with you there. Just saying that the vast majority of more casual F2P gamers probably won't ever reach that point.

    Wouldn't shock me. Even if I was born with a horseshoe in my diaper, and I managed to create exactly the Legendary item I wanted, every time, I'd need to get (for an Mk6/Mk7 Fixer) twelve of the same Reds, six Yellows, eighteen Greens, and twelve Blues - a total of 48 Legendary items. That's $28,800.

    Right, but that's another discussion entirely. Point I was trying to make to Joeyaa is that, it's not the low level epics that he should be concerned about.

    Yep, seems the game likes to give you items you don't want to receive at times. Certainly feels that way.

    I just want incomplete items out of my inventory to make space for all the epics I'm collecting. Wish there was a workshop tab where they could go.

    That calculation is just quite inaccurate and misleading. The average amount of items you need to get a single item to tier 5 is 73. The consecutive items also gets much easier. Here's a full list of how many items you need to get on average to get N mount of different items to tier 5:

    Player who plays their quests, opens the calendar everyday, opens all free boxes, opens some star boxes daily, buys the pieces from the shop, scraps items regularly, buys boxes with the free pearls they get etc. There are so many different sources for items that the combined flow is surprisingly high.

    I have been playing the game for 76 weeks and I have collected 150 epic, out of which I can attribute roughly 30 items to paid boxes. And no, the items are not from the old system. I’m pretty sure my epic influx increased when going to the current system.
