First we are talking about ships battle ,not human gun fight

And If a bullet (ex cannon) that is bigger than your head hits you ,99% you will be dead

I believe both the sniper haters and supporters are sick and tired of this topic lol (if you aren’t yet, you will soon). I do think sniper isn’t as OP as some of you have suggested, but no doubt it’s strong and useful.

IMO it’s a matter of choice, whether you want consistent damage output or you want your damage be based on RNG, and the worst thing about sniper is the RNG based damage output.

You get a sniper crit from a guy at the beginning of a game, not knowing that his sniper never crit again in the rest of the game. That can happen.

You get killed by a sniper crit, not knowing that in the previous game this guy was counting for his sniper to crit to save his life but it didn’t and he was killed by the unfriend. That can happen.

You get a sniper crit of 2.5k damage and you’re yelling “wtf sniper is OP!!”, but that guy was actually using all crit damage perks on his sniper and his crit chance was actually 15% and you’re just unlucky to get crit by it. That can happen.

People only remember the times they get crit by sniper because you don’t know what hit you when a sniper doesn’t crit, its damage is worse than a standard cannon. And I believe the number of times you get crit by snipers is lesser than that without crit. I’m out of this discussion

 

but you forgot even a f2p player like me that dont even have a creadit card have 10th of epic perks , so it is kinda impposible to see a sniper cannon with less than 30% crit ,have you ever seen sniper with only 15% crit chnace those days ,unless his user don't want crit perks ,and that is also impposible

 

My level 30 rare sniper cannon has a critical chance of 25% because I can't find good perks.

 

Wow I’m back at the discussion in the 8 months I played the game, I have only had 4 epic sniper crit chance perks.

I meant total perks are more than 10 i might have even 20 epic perks (after 8 day it will have been 8 months of playing for me)

Yes, I use it.
It sometimes deals 1000+, but usually 800-999
The critical damage

 

Im the one who thinks sniper is OP and deserves a nerf just closer ranges but this thread seems full of nonense. @TheAntiSnipe can you lock this thread

 

Then get within range. Some of the best enforcers run double blast. Of course it’s laughable if you miss. It’s laughable when any unskilled player misses every shot they fire. You proving nothing with this comment by saying a inexperienced player has a hard time hitting a target.

 

Lol, sniper requires quitely less effort and aiming than most of weapons. You pretty know that too.

 

No I’m not wrong. The consensus someone took really showed it wasn’t the highest used item. Your likely talking about a different data dump that’s likely more recent than the one I seen? So please feel free to show my this snapshot so I can have a good read on the latest data.

From a short range sniper hits most targets easily cause of the projectile speed. But when shooting from max range at about 45, it’s actually I bit more difficult. I still today miss plenty shots due to over/under leading my shots. Especially when they are enforcers. So yea I can see that it is easy to hit people around 20ish range with a sniper cannon but it’s also easy shooting them with a Standard Cannon and FlareGun at that range too? So what does that prove? I think I’m misunderstanding why you pointed something out that’s so obvious.

 

And if you shoot a blast cannon at the range of 45 , it won't be even visible to the who you target

 

And how easy it is to hit a player at different range? Its range and speed isn't enough for a 1 slot item If it has only 1% crit chance?
