DevReply Why is the sniper cannon balanced?!?

There are players that are bad at aiming ,so they will still use them ,
That is one of the reasons why devs made sniper cannon
,And don't say no noobs will reach nightmare or 3k infamy bcuz we aren't talking about nightmare

,and i the other hands i see some players that i don't know how they reached 3k infamy (or maybe a bad connnection , phone issues,,or bored , but all of them? No)

Pretty sure that sniper already lost 7.5% damage before the speeder nerfs started

But this mean even after it lost 7.5% of its damage it is still that OP that players still use them like they did before nerf

 

If sniper wouldn’t crit, it would still have the highest range+projectile speed and therefore highest accuracy and easiest to use. So i think that it’s fair to say that people would still use sniper over rg and lrm. At least i would.

Why not to nerf it if a player can shot me in the other side of the map and i can't even see him ,and if it is crit probably i will lose a big % of my HP?

 

Lmao you actually created a poll. I think you misunderstood me. I meant create a poll to see if players will still use it if crit is removed.

 

Removing crit would be a bit too harsh. People would use it, but it would definitely balance long range items

Sniper as a long range weapon should have lose strength in close ranges, that's all. Maybe some crit chance or damage reduction but tgat weapon shouldn't that effective and deadlier in even point blank. That just all what we need.

 

Actually snapshot from nightmare league showed it's the most used weapon. So your information is incorrect.

 

Disagree. I might not take lrm or railgun, but would use a swift torp, blast, grenade, flare or carronade over it. The range is nice, the speed is nice, but crit chance is it's main reason for being used.

I do use sniper on shooter, but given the amount of Tesla shields it there and the fact that it can't crit on a shield, it's not nearly as powerful as the complainers indicate. I also switch it out for some of the weapons I've started above.

 

Valid points. Yes maybe most players would switch to those weapons you mentioned. However, the only long range items currently are sniper, rg and lrm. So for people who want long range items (i use rg because the rest of my items are very close range), the other options are still a bit worse compared to sniper.
And grenade has the same problem, it doesn’t crit on shields

Lmao almost every sniper hater wrote “a sniper hit me from across the map” + “I can’t even see him” in the same sentence to make people feel how OP sniper is. You were spotted by at least one of the unfriends that’s why you get hit. It’s not like the bullet of sniper has some kind of heat seeker and magically hit you when you were 70 range away and not on their radar

 

Yes so you didn’t see the person who hit you.

 

And that’s your fault for being spotted and without cover

 

Can you fire at the enemy if you are behind a rock or a wall?

 

If we’re talking about the beginning of a match when you are spotted by one of the unfriends and getting shot by the invisible unfriends, why would you not find a cover before you can see the others? You can’t fire at them (well you can actually shoot blindly) when there are not in your radar.

 

I have been hitted once before by sniper cannon and there was no unfriend player on the map ,actually it was at the beginning of the match
The point is sniper is so OP
