Sorry for the bad quality screeny but this was taken late May. My fixer did 0 damage but yet gained 3 stars

I play (on my mini account) fixer and run a napalm. Usually getting 2 stars if healing quite well and doing some dmg. I do not have screenshot but about 500 dmg and 6k fixed brings 2-3 stars. I am mk 3 fixer there so numbers are low because of that.

So answer for your question, yes, napalm/fire gives you extra contribution points as fire does and freeze too if someone hit's that enemy when burning/freezed. --> Easier stars than being only fixing fixer :D

I also wonder how the system works sometimes. But in the end, I do think one should choose his weapons in order to be more efficient, not in order to get more stars... My 2 cents ;)

No no no, it's hard getting bonis points with napalm cause napalm only does dmg when the ship is inside the circle, you can't expect your teammates to do bonus dmg on the ships in the small amount of time it takes a ship to run away from napalm.

That's a bad combo if you are playing for burn bonus contribution. I strongly recommend you use a frost launcher and fire bombs combo (Blaster and flare if slots are not enough).

Hit them with the frost first, slow them down, tag attack, hit them with the burn next and tag attack again.

That should get you much more bonis contribution points if my theory is correct.

To be honest, it was never for star hunt ;) only making unfriends to go different ways and dealing some dmg there. Also if they are in a group, it deals quite good dmg + it makes almost sure that you get fire bonus as your team probably shoots them same time :)

Anyway, I just told what I use in my mini fixer :D It actually has appeared to be good enough to give me 2 stars average on matches so it is not that bad
(you can disagree if you want but it is how it is :p)

I won't disagree but considering that the discussion was about star hunt......

Well nevermind, can't expect somebody to build and arm themselves with a frost and fire bombs just to check my theory.

And yes, napalm is an amazing crowd control item, nothing can split teams and disperse them like a napalm, wish it had a wider range but then it'd be op I guess

Yes, wider would mean way too op napalm as multiple (like reborn...x use 3 of them) would make the damn field burn and no one really could survive as it is almost like that already, lol.
