Wayward pains is real pain for air attackers

    This promotes use of weapon variety,since majority of shooters have problem with it.Keeping the mixture of weapons which shoot over the wall,thro the wave and canons ofc rather than all mortar

    AND believe me this map isnt the worst for mortars you just need to learn some spots where you can use it effectively(Capture zone being one of them)

    But that’s kind of true of all maps. Carronade isn’t much use on Chill Zone (unless you want to charge around the corner and get shredded by all 5 unfriends). Railgun is pretty difficult on Sub Zero with all the big waves.

    Given how useful mortars/forbombs are on other maps, and how much they get spammed; I actually think it’s a good thing to have ‘at least’ one map that makes people think twice before going into battle overly dependant on mortars.

    In any case, I still seem to be getting hit by firebombs on WP, so someone is managing to use them.

    I'm all for weapon variety, that's a great way to stay interested in many games. But you have no choice on what maps you play in. It's all random. In that case each map needs to be somewhat accommodating for each weapon.

    Also, BB isn't very "weapon variety" friendly. In many ways the only way you can advance in infamy and ranking is to stick to certain ship/weapons.

    I don't use mortars so idk as much as others if it really is a problem. But if there is a disadvantage then it should be changed.

    Its difficult to use some weapons on some maps, but not impossible. If a mortar player is caught in a tunnel, their weapons are completely useless. If their is a wall between both teams, cannon/torp players can still flank and attack from either sides of the wall.

    Instead of having one map where mortars are obsolete, Maybe make the other maps less mortar friendly and make wayward pains more friendly. It would be more work, but since we can't choose our maps it would make it a lot more fair for everyone.

    Wayward pains isnt mortar obsolete at all,i use 2 mortars on my shooter.But thankfully its not a heaven(Like chillzone and crash n burn)
    For the coward mortar shooters who kill your half HP before you even begin a Face 2 Face fight.I dont like mortars,But i was forced to equip them since you cant win below ACE-1,because the spammers are strong in every map

    ’Theoretically’ they can, but in practice, it’s just suicide on many maps.

    Flanking BC Speeder is pretty much all I’ve ever played, and I can tell you that on Chill Zone and Damage Depot it’s pretty much impossible for me to take the fight to the unfriends.

    I either have to wait, and hope that my team can soften them up with mortars first (risky if they have more shooters). Or, I have to hope someone strays away from the pack (or maybe lure them away), so that I can attack them.

    Either way, I’m often stuck not being able to do much with my weapons, for a significant portion of the battle.

    Totally agree,CHILL ZONE IS Nightmare for speeders except capture Zone.And it is heaven for shooter,Its almost a confirm win for me that MAP.

    However scenario changes in nightmare,Once speeders have Tesla shield.(At Mk6)

    no i love it as a speeder well as i have a big bertha which with frost launcher means i can actually wait and do 1000 damage every 15 secs

    The problem with that map is that it’s too small and the players spawn is absolutely ridiculous as they get spawned too far away from each other and it’s basically forcing a few team mates to be left alone and get picked on by unfriends before they could joint the rest of the team and attack as a pack ... if the map was a bit wider and the spawning players were much more thought through it could have been a great map ... just my opinion based of gameplay experience!

    The best thing to do is make all maps weapon friendly because a player missing a ship with a weapon is enough & then to have a mine go into a wall or mortar shot stick in an overhead because there is not enough room.
