Flare shouldn't stack, that is totally messed up.

I like your idea as that’s what we did with frost and is seems to work. How ever I do agree with YSL as that would be a bit too OP. What if instead of removing burn completely it cut the time in half or something so if you got hit by a flare that does 20 seconds normal then it would only do 10 after getting hit by the bolt.

Frost and flare are NOT the same. Flare is a DPS weapon, removing burn will just kill it outright.

Basically, flare deals direct damage, and thus, the damage should not directly be denied like it is by a tesshield. Halve the duration after bolting, but double the damage then.

That mean yo think the damage should be the same just less time..... idk how that would benefit anyone as flares do 800+ a shot and if I heal them then I want the damage to be less you see where I’m coming from. At that point I’d just use box and pulse only on them.

Removing the burn would kill the weapon but being able to remove the de buff would be good.

I wonder if I have enough time to build a 5 flare gun shooter. And just watch them burn a slow painful death while the fixer sobs in the corner.

Well, can you halve the effective damage from a railgun by bolting the shooter who is being hit? No. Why do it to flare then? 800 damage is good, flare cannot compare with the blast cannon in terms of even raw damage. So why nerf damage?

I see what you mean now..... o don’t know how to fix this issue beside removing the stack ability. What is the stack is still kept but a max of 3 and the %healreduce gets changed from 30-10% so that way you can still get 30% but 3 flares are required

That will make flare useless for it's main job: assassinating fixers. No, just remove the stacking and you're good to go.

That’s my problem tho as a fixer only gets 50% from their pulse which means when flared they only get 35% from their pulse..... To me this seems a lil low

Well, it is unfortunate, but that is the way flare was built, and actually, one of the very few things it has going for it. It's a projectile weapon needing a lot of hard work to master aiming and shooting it, and the rewards are proportionate. Most of all, a fixer should never be in a situation where a speeder or enfo can freely flare him without consequence. If this happens, your team is to blame.

Wait a second, I have another angle. Personally, I think it's awesome that flares stack now, since it makes multiple flare users work great together, but the base heal reduction should be reduced. On average, I see about 1~3 flare guns in a match on one team (pre-update... lol). If it were something like 15% instead of 30%, it would still be better than it used to be, but not as powerful on its own.

I would rather have it so alone I can reduce by 30% and my team will benefit all round, instead of relying on another flare user to be in the team, and us to be attacking the same boat synchronizing flares.
As mentioned countless times we are over complicating it, just reduce the stacking and its perfect!

Then how about diminishing returns? Each stack is weaker than the previous.
