Tired of the weapon spam !!!?

I dont agree. If you see a ship with double mortars go for short range game.If his setup is purely long range you should counter him easily. Believe it or not there was a time where the frost+mortar combination was the flavour in the bay.

Some advice:

1.Always have a turbo in a speeder and defender!!!!! Always

2.Also im pretty sure every map has areas where mortars do not become as effective so move your ship out the way and look for arches and cover.

3.I agree that overboost and nitro negate mortars easily enough with yellow items.

When you get to nightmare league there are not that many around and players equip for long/mid and short range. Players that sit back and launch mortars get destroyed if they have no mid/short range game plan.

As shown in the video, go into a tunnel or an area with shelter/ low ceiling. It will render most mortars useless.
Study the maps to make full use of them. Study the weapons, each mortars/ launchers have different specs be it projectile speed, arch and height.
As match making on friendlies and map are all random, there will be times when full mortars load out user getting a bad game as well.

Im talking about a whole team, where every individual has 3 or more mortars on and rain hell on you no matter if youre a speeder of or a fat defender youre going down. The closer you are to a mortar the more damage it deals to you so your argument is invalid since youre not fighting alone against 5 other opponents, youre in a team created of dif ships, by equipping yourselves with +3 mortars you stand behind friendlies and keep spamming it ... DAHHHH stop defending the most stupid issue in this game, of course you people see your tactic is in danger so thats why youre so worried .
Let some game devs of any other game comment on this issue, im sure this is the first game that allows people to equip +5 of a very same weapons on ... WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY STUPID ... Im done being on this forum ... the most stupid forum Ive ever been to ... out.

Oh, you're one of those people that believe all 5 players on the other team somehow have more communication. They all queued up together and said "That's right boys, with 15 mortars we can't lose!" and all clicked play at the same time. While you're team is filled with three year olds playing with daddy's phone right?

We all get the same luck, we all get the same teammates when we get randomly put with 4 other random people. If it's SOOO OP to have three mortars on a ship, why don't we see players at the top tier of play using that? Maybe at low infamy levels when players don't know that red=bad mortars are overpowered. For shits and giggles I tried a match with Big Bertha, Standard Mortar, and another Big Bertha, all rares and I got my ass handed to me those games. Maybe this game just isn't for you?

 

I've seen a few all mortar/missile shooters in my time here, and I absolutely loved them. Nothing like a sitting duck to rack up those damage points

I would love to see a team that has 15 mortars! Even when I play Shooter, I often end up on the edge of a mortar shot, if that, and take less damage than I would have if they hit me with a common sniper cannon. They're just asking to get rambo'd by any yellow, while they struggle to lead a shot well enough to counter the healing and armor of reds and blues. Forget Nitro or Overboost, a Defender with a Turbo could dodge most of those things.

They're amazing last-hit weapons, I'll give you that. The only advantage of mortars is that they can fire over obstacles. If you're sitting behind a rock waiting for your Band-Aid to be worth the sugar investment, expect a random mortar to just come flying out of nowhere. Even if no one on the enemy team had a mortar, a mysterious Ballpark will come flying in from outside of the battle arena, probably from someone in a completely different match, because people who use Ballparks are just that bad at leading a shot.

The answer you are looking for is ingame - "Keep moving, a stationary target is easy to hit!"

Mortars are rare at higher infamy, boats with more than 1 equipped even more so.

 

jeez you complain about others calling names then call everyone stupid and teammates "dip shits" come on dude. maybe it's time to act like an adult and remember that this is a game.
If a game is getting you this worked up, please limit how much you play, because that level of stress is not healthy
