Oh, that wouldn't be a problem for me. I usually don't have that much problems with things, I just play with given cards. I just thought the situation would be occasional. After one or two seasons everyone would have 500 higher infamy and that's it. Even the players who are now between 4k and 4.5k would soon be between 4.5k and 5k. The real effect would be at the lower infamy where the players are between 0 and 1000 infamy. They would have more space if my logic is correct. I don't know, I'm not an expert.

But the same problem exists in every game you get rank by winning someone who loses the same amount of points. The points must reset sometimes and it leads to a situation weaker player facing a lot stronger ones. I just don't know how they usually handle the problem in the games like this (because I am not an experienced player what it comes to multiplayer games).

@JJf I don't know man, I'm not a gamer or a developer. Just a sailor missing the water, hoping for a response from somebody in charge to set my mind at ease.
I don't think everybody would just gain 500 infamy though, but even if they did I don't think it'd hurt anything.

Yes, it wouldn't harm anything, I think. It must be based on the player base - the more players, the higher the point the infamy is dropped. Higher level means more space to everyone so I believe raising the point would mean it's easier to get infamy in the beginning. That way it could also mean the players who have started playing two days ago wouldn't face mk5s at the bay. So, it could be a good change anyway. Or I just don't see the negative effect it may have.

    Yep, I know the feeling.

The reason for resetting the infamy is simple. The game needs to purge infamy to avoid the top players from gaining too much(they have over 50% win ratio), and it also needs to purge infamy to counter the new users that are creating new accounts and winning infamy from the bots.

For those suggesting to raise the infamy leagues, it won't do much to prevent infamy loss per season.

The only way to solve this is how other games deal with infamy / trophy / ladder gain is that when playing with a lower player and if they win, they gain less. If they lose they lose more. It would be tough to calculate a balanced infamy system in a 5 v 5 player game however. This would only likely apply over the 4K mark, where you win reduced infamy and as you approach the top (as in number 1 player) you likely gain very little. The benefit is that any games that the top players are purposely "fixing" has little effect to gain an advantage (it's probably not worth it for the player gaining infamy). However this complicates things quite a bit, and would make infamy less visibly accurate the further you go up. So to be honest, it's not a really good solution.
