Thoughts on the new map?

In the trailer only boat that dies is a speeder that sums it all another nerf incoming.

 

It does look quite flat and open. Hopefully it won’t just be another sniper fest with no way to move forward.

It must be so funny for devs to see us saying bullshit while trying to guess what’s the map about hahaha

What's funnier is seeing all these players getting over hyped on one new map when there's a shit ton a things who are more urgent and have to be fixed.

 

Ahh. Its a movie theatre. We will be throwing popcorns.

 

Something is better than nothing.
Also, off the top of my head, there is very little that is broken enough to be urgent.
But thats offtopic, back to the map.

I do like all the neon an checkered patterns. It reminds me of stuff like Beetlejuice.

This map is actually full of details and will possibly reveal more from the lore / background story than any other map so far. Until we can actually use the drone mode to look around, here are some interesting stuff picked from the trailer:


This one here definitely doesn't look like a movie poster. More I think it may give us some hints of why this place (game world) was abandoned and what happened to all the inhabitants.


The movie theater seemed to show pretty dark stuff judging by the names of these films. They are little blurry to read but sure you can see names such as "drown the world", "wateryworld" and "finding demon" (finding Nemo reference).

What do you guys think? Can't wait to see all details with the drone mode

 

Look very nice. I hope there is a new game mode waiting for us. New map is is cool but we really need things that the game has never seen.

 

Quite like the look of this one tbh. Wayward 2.0... Not quite, depending on wave movement and ceiling height. Although that pillar-y thing looks fun to dance around in a fight.

 

Maybe 'The Capital' is the city we can see in the background of Crash and Burn? I cant wait to drone it

Look, I went to drone Crash and Burn and obviously Capital is not the big structure you can easily see there since that is just a steel factory:


However, if you look around closely, from the very far away you can actually spot something that really looks like the Capital from the poster:

I think one films rating needs upgrading

 

Holy crap that's too similar to be a coincidence! I think there may be more story and lore than we think... I'm hoping the new update starts connecting the dots... Maybe a story mode/single player element to augment the usual 5on5 battles?
