This is why Sniper is Broken

I don't think that speeders or any boat has been made based on specific weapons and dance with enforcers is even easier from long range, sniper is a perfect fit for this purpose (since it is a 1 slot weapon).

Why is even the thread still running I mean, all the Nerf solutions have been discussed and All those who have to say that sniper needs a Nerf has had their thoughts.

So my question is , what is the purpose of this thread still running?

Are you guys waiting for an official confirmation from Devs whether sniper is going to get a Nerf or not? Or is it something else?

The reason I say is, every damn time I open the forums , I don't want to see a thread related to sniper. I mean, already sniper has been discussed with 20 pages in the previous Nerf thread. Again, the same solutions has been discussed here. No change whatsoever. So, I feel this thread has run it's course long back and I don't see a reason why it Still should be running.

The only thing I realized from these two threads is that SNIPER is hurting a lot for the players below nightmare league. Other than that, nothing.

C'mon man, it's better to have this one nerf sniper thread than the 4, 5, 6 that'd come when someone locked it

 

Hmm.. I think most of us would like to get an official reply from the devs, giving us some stats and numbers, and also their point of view on why sniper is balanced (how the pros and cons balance each other) and not nerfed further after the -7.5% damage nerf loooong time ago.

 

I am weird because my highest damage is grenade before torp, mine, blast and rg

 

It really is. I played a game last night where every ship on the unfriends’ team was running sniper, and one guy was running 4 of them. I had to avoid 10 shots before I eventually got to shoot back (and it was just pure luck really, that more didn’t hit), eventually a couple did catch me (one for 1400 damage). It really does ruin the game when it’s being spammed so hard, all the time.

I think if we can manage to convince just one person that it is an issue, (even if they don’t personally experience it) then it actually makes these discussions worth it.

Nerfs will not balance anything. It will just make the meta shift over to the next best weapon/combo. So complain all you want but I'm pretty sure even if sniper gets nerfed someone will find a new weapon that needs nerf cos a) they don't have that weapon b) they can't handle anyone else using it.
