TDM Matchmaking seems to be broken this round

    That's why I said, "close to", on low level items the extra talents won't make a huge difference still.

    And what you just explained, isn't matchmaking problem but gear score design problem. If they'd calculate gear score correctly, everything would be fine.

    Just as an example, nitro's CD can, I believe, be reduced by 30% in talents alone.
    Blast cannons gain 15% burn additional through talents.
    Oh, and don't even get me started on big and std shield, AND grenade talents. Those things are just too much.

    I wanna see 2 players using the same mk and type of ship and the same level of items, and one having 3x more health AND damage output. At least.

    Yes, but when using low level weapons, those huge percentages won't make such a huge difference (not saying not at all, but significantly less than on maxed out weapons) :)

    If we're talking midgame though, that difference can be a total monster.

    Also, I saw an opponent with a LEGENDARY STANDARD CANNON this morning on my duplicate ID in TDM. My ID has all epic and rare t1 gear on mk3 rigs. Wtf?

    A 50% buff is still a lot even on lvl 30 items lol true the difference is no where near as much on as on better gear but it’s still significant
