I think that the game should just mk down your ship when you cross a certain lower limit, regardless of what tier you are presently. Mk5s in the 500-600s is unacceptable. Devs, please do this.

yeah, that's a good idea... like you don't lose your lower MKs, you can use them again if go down in infamy... you will still have OP items though... but it's a promising idea :)

We cannot put up item ceilings sadly, for previously stated reasons. But due to the 800 infamy rule, plus the fact that in the lower leagues, an epic is OP, makes it an okay solution for lower leagues.

Not really. I played first time almost a year before global launch. I remember I had some rares (ofc back then it was only t1-t3) and uncommons around 500-1000 infamy (I think). Back then the nowadays nightmare players were around 1000-2000 infamy and there were not that many of them, so I got killed by epic t3 (best level in the game) and rare t3 items. I have no idea how good the system is now, but it wasn’t significantly easier before global launch.

Brilliant idea. The infamy levs could easily be adjusted if its clear theyre at the wrong levs too.

Another idea is to adjust the returns on guild quests to match the drop on battle rewards when infamy drops too low in a season.

Both these ideas would slow down guild quests as players would either have to balance the amount of play with low powered loadouts or pay to increase the strength of abnormal loadouts but this would be an acceptable compromise.
