American Marauder probably blocked me for no reason(from earlier encounters; I don't get the blocking, that's like self-censorship and locking yourself in a room or putting hands over your ears and closing your eyes), and that's likely why he's not responding to any of my suggestions and comments... So quote me...

Actually, you all don't get it! Infamy is created everyday by new players, as players log into the game and start playing, Infamy is CREATED, this infamy distributes all the way up the chain . Weaker players are beaten by stronger ones, and eventually that infamy gets to the top all the way up to Nightmare. The reason why Infamy is reset at the highest level of 4000k+ is to purge and remove infamy so that players can't gain infinitely. So in other words, if no infamy is being purged, everyone will continue to gain.

Understanding this....

Increasing to 5K will only stretch out the pool of infamy ranges. Here's the scenario, right now 3K players stay in 3K because 4K players are taking their infamy, and 3k players are taking 2k players so on and so forth down the chain. By moving the goal post further, you're just putting in more field in-between the goals. What does that mean? Well, 3K players in the now 5K system will have higher infamy because the 5Ks are no longer matching 3Ks and only fighting 4K players (they are battling a lot slower now mind you) and 4K players are moving up to 4.3ish because that pool are stripping from 3.5k etc and so on. What I mean is, it really doesn't improve matchmaking.

What it does is creates an extra league that may or may not be necessary, and if rewards are the problem, it's easier to just distribute / give out more rewards. I don't think rewards are the issue, and matchmaking is the goal. However, as I stated earlier. The Pool between 4.7k to 5k right now is so small it's only within the top 15 players realistically. By creating a new league for Ultra / Torment / Inferno / Hell you're only stretching out the numbers and making it more granular, like taking a rubber band and stretching it further, the player base remains the same and the infamy number / scale is increased. You're not legitimately creating better Matchmaking whatsoever.

Oh and don't forget, Rovio has already moved this goal line from 3.5 to 4K just a few weeks ago.

Hey AM, haven't read the entire thread... I'd say it's a success if you're attracting this much attention. I respect everyone's opinion and don't think there's anything wrong with another league. Seems like a great idea. From what I can tell as I mentioned on my own thread, the Battle Bay community is an extremely innovative bunch so I suppose everyone wants their idea to get equal "airtime" as it were which is understandable.

The last thing I'll add is I think you're name is great ... Before I dip into hyperbole I just visited this thread to continue to involve myself in the goings on of a game that I enjoy playing. I think it's important to realize that's what we all enjoy doing lul... just my 2 cents, thanks for reading...

So many ideas and so little time what's a dev to do ... I'm just looking forward to my little mk4 upgrade I'll get in a few days lulz

 

Honestly if creating a higher league would stretch the leagues out I would be for it. I started an alt and by the time I hit 300 infamy there were mk4s and epics. That's not good for new players learning the game. If there was a way to spread those players out I'd be open to the idea

 

It's over powered because not everyone has a chance to get the same perks. So you'd be essentially breaking the game and making the highest infamy people(who are already stronger than everyone else) even better than they already are.

 

Realistically, it won't spread out very much to be quite honest. By raising 4K to 5K that's an increase about maybe 5-10% at best at the bottom end. So no, adding a league won't make case as to improving your gaming experience. At 300 infamy, you're barely out of the gates which is pretty much where all the newest players are. So no, it won't make any difference to you whatsoever.

 

Guys, you won't believe this, even I have trouble believing it myself... I just spoke American Marauder in the game... (Luckily he didn't know it was me). But in the game he is like a completely different person...

He actually answered every single one of my questions without insulting. I asked him for tips (not that I would need it from him), but he actually asked what I wanted to know and continued to answer every question.

He doesn't insult anyone in the game, he doesn't act all high and almighty... I'm actually confused... I was planning on roasting him in the game, but I couldn't do it anymore after he was so polite with his answers... I'm honestly confused about what to think about him

 

Because out of respect for all the players who buy VIP to have a clean chat we don't like bringing drama into the VIP chat
