Get past 500 infamy and there will be no bots. The points system is very fair, especially for a 5v5 online multiplayer game. Speeders that run away and AFK players can be expected. It's online multiplayer after all, there will be trolls and jerks no matter the game or point system.

That's not the reason mate. The reason top players are usually yellow ships is that they got some speed to dodge bullets, not to run away. Also having stun and tesla shield are main reasons so they can stay alive longer. In fact most of those speeders aren't running at all. They just go to cover and come back when enemy loses sight of them so they can surprise enemies better than being just a moving target. There is a difference between running and being sneaky, you know :p
After all not all top players are speeders or yellow ships. There are plenty of shooters, defenders and fixers at the top but speeders sure are mosts favourite because of speed.

    Cheers

Mk3 with 1400 infamy here...started playing a little over a week ago, no money spent. Just takes crew training, and gameplay.
No bots the higher up you get.
Like was previously mentioned, for team playing games this pretty standard.

You are only talking about the top 5 at that point. That is not indicative at all of the community as a whole are even the top 1 percent.

So now ask yourself this question. Did you get better at the game/unlock better equipment? Or did you rank up through pure luck like you previously stated?

I ranked up by fleeting up with good players especially good fixers who were able to back me up.

I wish the infamy system accounted for skill, but there is one advantage to it always giving out the same 24 points. You can't lose more points on a loss than you gain on a win (outside of that rare 1-point difference). That alone makes things less frustrating than trying to rank up in competitive PC games.
