Question(s) about binitro build

I have cut back on a lot of weapons I was upgrading due to the scarceness of epic cells. If I'm going to run 1 rare and 1 epic shouldn't I upgrade the epic to its max potential even if I don't have the duplicates to get it to T4? I'm sure I'll get stuck waiting but I'd rather wait with a T3 instead of T2.

 

If I were you, I would run the Epic, and build a Rare as your 2nd.

You could carry on upgrading the Epic to level 30, or you could just leave it at 20 for the time being, and focus on more important upgrades.

It depends how happy you are with it really? T2 and T3 have the same number of perk slots, so the cooldown will be the same. You’ll get a bit more speed out of the T3, but Nitros are so fast anyway, I don’t know how noticeable it will be (probably less noticeable than any other item upgrade you could do instead).

 

I must be the black sheep in the group lol, I don't really have a main ship. I switch between shooter, speeder and enforcer pretty equally depending on my mood and quests. I can swap reds and blues freely between them then I built an Epic OB and Nitro. Got a legendary stun so I threw perks on it and left it unleveled.

 

Same here but I use defender too when I'm on a speeder lose streak.

 

Woah. I have a Mk4 with 4K hp. Is there a significant jump between mks?

 

I saw your old videos and I'm jealous of all that speed with Overbitro. Haha. I'm 1 level away from mk5 so I plan to use Overbinitro when I get there, although I only have 1 duplicate of rare and 3 of epic.

 

Yeah, very significant. I had 4k on my mk4 before I switched to mk5, and 11k on my mk5 before I switched to mk6, which is currently 14k.

O run a bi-nitro speeder about 95% of the time lvl50 rare and lvl40 epic. The rare cooldown is 5.8 and the epic is 5.0. For this setup the amount of boost isn't really all that big of a deal, t2 epic worked just fine. It's the cooldown time and your strategy.

I use mine to either split the opponents up by staying just out of range but close enough to be tempting. Or I use it to cross and act as an emergency backup for teammates that need help. The big thing is to plan ahead so you have a sense of where you are going to have a window to shoot before boosting again and to know the maps. Boosting into a wall is a good way to die.

 

Quick update: Upgraded the rare to level 20 and it already passed the speed of the epic dupe I was using to fill the slot. Put a few levels on my epic turbo as well and climbed about 400 infamy in a night!! That might not seem like much but going from 2k to 2.4k is huge for me since I've been stuck at 2k for the past few months lol

 

After the 4.0 update, I'll have max slots. OverBi-nitro Bigshield Bandage turbo, here I come!


Also there'll be 6 weapon level 1 shooters lol.

I used to run a double nitro, it's better than any ob set up, i am now building a triple nitro setup in my smurf (Overkill, i know but idc, dual nitro made me kinda hard to hit, triple will make me zoom like a hacker).

 

I still can't tell if using nitro while using ob makes a difference over just nitro. Does nitro give you xxx% of base speed or current speed?
