PUT LOCKS ON ITEMS SO WE DON'T ACCIDENTALLY SCRAP THEM. ( IMPORTANT )

Aren't you tired of accidentally scraping your main weapons/items? Then support this thread and let them hear me! My friend scraped his main weapon and now he doesn't want to play anymore. ( Epic Carronade tier 2 ) NEED THOSE JUICY LIKES PLEASEEE! THANKS!

 

or you could not scrap it when it asks you any of the 3 times if you are sure

Well yeah. Thats why I said ACCIDENTALLY.

 

Locks that can keep our items safe from accidental scraping. It happens

 

this has been suggested so many times. there is 3 clicks before you scrap it.
search for one of the multiple times this has been suggested and you will see the Devs stance on it

 

I agree on the suggestion.. Hope that the developers will consider this.. It will ask u twice or something but accidents do happend.

 

Thats why were suggesting it again wont hurt to try again?

i think i get where both sides of the argument is coming from. first, the ones who say that the system of scrapping is good as is. reason for this is there are already safeguards in place for scrapping items. it takes you three clicks before any item can be scrapped. first click brings you to the item info window. second click is the scrap button on the lower left corner. this brings you to the scrap window which has a red scrap button on the lower right. some may argue that those three clicks may be more than enough to safeguard accidental scrapping.

on the other hand, others think that there should be more locks or safeguards than what we already have. i would assume that some people, when doing the same thing over and over again, would just click at the windows from muscle memory and would often not even read the warnings because scrapping is done so often that some of us just do it again and again that we get so used to clicking those buttons so clicking (or tapping) becomes just an automatic reflex.

i have no idea what the best compromise would be but but as i asked the op before, at what point does the op suggest that the "lock" be placed? at the first click or at the second click(item menu window) or the third click ( scrap window with red scrap button on bottom right corner). how would this lock work? would this new lock affect scrapping useless items that need to be scrapped? or does this lock only affect his favorite items?

 

Can you imagine scrapping a T4/T5 legendary by genuine accident.. that is 5 figures of pain and a law case waiting to happen... cant be difficult to implement
