Nerf sniper!!!

I tend to wonder how fair any nerf is. It takes a lot of pre-planning figuring out which items to upgrade. People spend a lot of time and money on these things. I myself have built up so many yellow items only to have them nerfed into uselessness. If this were not the best mobile game out right now I probably would have quit. Not rage quit, just maybe quality of life quit.

That being said. I don't think crit chance was a problem until guild raffle came about. I do think it is a problem now. It should be more work to do over a thousand points of damage. Sniper makes it too easy.

 

No they cannot get rid of crit dmg in talent trees because then blast cannon and ex cannon with epic crit chance perks become the new meta.
They just need to reduce the Crit chance to 33% by removing all Sniper exclusive crit chance perks. 45% is too much. A ex cannon or blast cannon crits for the same as a sniper or even more. Without crit dmg sniper becomes obsolete.
Nerf Crit Chance to 33% OR remove crit dmg. If you wanna nerf both then nerf the other cannons as well.

 

Sniper needs its own crit chance perks. However, I do agree that the sniper crit chance perks could use a small nerf.
Any nerf to crit chance should lead to a buff in crit damage perks.

Sniper - high risk high reward
Blast cannon - consistent reliable damage

 

People just like to whine about what kills them, a reduction to 33% isn't going stop all the crying. People can obtain an item if they really want it. Why don't they go for an item they say is so op? Because blast cannon or ex cannon works better on their setup.

For example: YSL is, currently as it seems, a flare + ex cannon user. YSL complained about sniper critting her often, why doesn't she use it? Because flare + sniper isn't going to do much. Ex cannon + flare is strong. So because you are using a setup, which is more effective than if you were using a sniper, nerf the competition just to make your setups stronger?

 

Remove sniper crit perks, Increase sniper base dmg or crit dmg.
33% is good. I run on 15%

 

So to justify a Sniper nerf, it must occur alongside a ex cannon flare combo nerf. Seems fair, i support this

Non sniper users remember getting crit.
Sniper users remember not getting any crits.

 

Sniper canon can not have a high base damage.
It needs a risk/reward factor

I feel all the cannons are fairly balanced and all have their pros and cons. Some are better on certain ships rather than the others which is why it may seem unbalanced to a player who is using a ship not suited for a sniper, so they complain... lol

 

All damage nerfs are a buff to fixer and bandaid, and therefore defender.
This is not necessarily a bad thing at lower infamy.

 

Remove all crit chance perks from the game. The ultimate way to balance it.

Sniper 700 15% crit 1750
Blast 1100 1% crit 2200
Ex 1600 1% crit 3200 (But this IS a 2 slot)

With 4 epic Crit dmg perks:
Sniper 700 15% crit 2170
Blast 1100 1% crit 3080
Ex 1600 1% crit 4480 (But this IS a 2 slot)

With 4 epic Dmg perks:
Sniper 800 15% crit 2000
Blast 1300 1% crit 2600
Ex 1800 1% crit 3600(But this IS a 2 slot)

Without crit chance perks, this is the epitome of fairness

Yes, definitely nerf the sniper. Completely BS.

 

I still agree with nerfing it, but if thats how you play a speeder, you will die even if they are not critical hits. If you want to nerf snipers just so you can dance back and forth on a speeder and OB in a direction that isnt even perpendicular to the enemy then you should just quit. Valid complaints, laughable performance. People will take your complaints more seriously if you show a video with you actually moving at high speed and playing how you usually do on a speeder. No offense but that video is an insult to yourself, with all you have accomplished and so forth.

 

LOL, I tried ro run away, but 5 sniper crit in a row (that i cannot avoid due to the speed projectile) I had no chance, no matter what. And if you want to talk about laughable performance, I can also upload yours in your 3 duc tapes fixer rushing on solid mk6s. No offense.

 

I don't know how long you have been away but, 3 tapes is long long dead. I can own up to my past. I hope you can be a bit more truthful as well. Snipers do miss, its just easier to hit at close range. You can dodge snipers if you have a nitro or just count the GCD intervals and reverse. You can say whatever you want about me, i have nothing left to lose. Nobody likes criticism, but you are a role model, take some.

 

Lol the whole idea behind a speeder is dealing a big amount of damage and get out of danger. It's already a big danger to get in close and avoid mines and torps and all the other weapons. For a 2 slot ship it would be stupid to use long range weapons. Whats the use of playing a speeder which has low hp if you play on max range with snipers. Never said that flare + blast/explosive isn't strong but if i try to get closer on my enfo the amount

lol. Whats wrong with you? I'd say YSL knows how to play her boat 3782x better than most of us. She is hard to hit and this video is not about being hit, it's about the 5 crits in a row while none of them was difficult to shoot. Just let it auto aim and kill a 6k+ infamy player within 5 sec gg

 

I do critic people who messed my battles several times - including you and especially you with your dumb setup. Last time was actually 2 weeks ago. I even called you out on vip, you never answered. No offense. We can dodge a sniper if we have a nitro? Sounds like every ships can run a nitro.
