Sadly, playing like that means I will do the least dmg in my team and get no more than 1 star, however we still win so atleast I have that going for me.

This is EXACTLY my point in my Yoyoing at 1200 thread.
Huge influx of players will hit a plateau..pooling together.
It's real hard to climb out of that pool with leg weights on..(mk4 doing 300 damage..fixers doing 400 heal..etc.)
Just gotta keep playing until you can drag yourself out of the quicksand.

 

Fleet up. If you are better than the pool and fleet with a better than average player, you will shoot out the pool instantly

 

I just got my MK5 and I love it, but it hasn't changed my life. Learning how to lead shots, scan the field, and better teamwork is what has really helped me. No complaints about the new boat tho. It's beautiful. I celebrate with you! Congrats!

I made a new account, and only got to 500 infamy with an mk1 defender. And I practically never saw any other mk1's at that infamy, just mk2's, mk3's, and mk4's (mk3's are the most common).
And mk3's starting appearing quite commonly after my 7th match (~165 infamy). I'm dissapointed at this new generation of players.
By any chance, do you remember the weapons you used on your defender? Just interested in the different kinds of setups.

 

I used a defender with double canon at first. Double canon works really well early game. But after a while I went with canon and sniper because of all those long range campers

 

I will have my new mk4 Fixer in a few hours. As a mk3, I struggled real hard and finally managed to hit 1300+. I play a lot, Im reading the forums, trying different set ups... Honestly, I dont know if its possible to go that much further as mk3 (if you know people who have though, tell me, its always nice to see!)

Hoping mk4 will be useful

 

I know some fixers who managed to reach like 2200 with an mk3 ship... But that won't be possible anymore because of all those overpowered ships in the low infamy matches.

 

Yeah, I just started about a week ago, and I'm sitting in the low 600s...my ships are Mk2, everything I face is Mk3-5. It's nuts. The 5-700 pool is so full of ridiculously over-leveled players.
