    It's always funny to see MVP and white knights trying to "defend" the devs.
    The matchmaking is the current biggest issue with this game, the amount of negative feedback related to battle balance, ship balance, weapon balance is also readable on any chat in game and that, every single day. As i said in another thread, any player under mk6 can't compete on a "fair" level.
    Devs have to come forward and tell us, the players, what are they planning to do in order to fix that mess or if they don't plan to do anything any soon.

    IF DEVS NEED HELP, LET ME/US/THE PLAYERS KNOW. WE CAN HELP, WE HAVE IDEAS.

    Unfortunately, most of these posters don't actually realize that the matchmaking is very good in the events and their setups are causing them harder matches due to appearing like an exploiter. People want to cry and complain about "matchmaking sucks" instead of actually trying to figure out why they are being matched like they are or why they are losing.

    I kinda get matched unfairly even with my normal set up because one of my weapons are significantly better than the others, so it thinks I'm a sealclubber and matches me with higher gearscore.

    That happens to me too. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it. Without that rule, people would be able to badly exploit it. I'd just recommend to try to fill that spot with something similarly leveled (no matter the rarity) or maybe remove the item completely.

    Without that item I'll be trash because my other two weapons are t1 epics, yet my blue slots still bring up my gearscore a lot.

    MM is not based purely on gear score. It is based on "power", which from what we know is a combo of gear score and training.

    Just played three battle and the matchmaking was fine. There are things that go wrong, but maybe it is better to find out why these things happen, than just only complain like we do (including me) and take a different approach.

    I came across someone who tried to fool the system by lowering his or her Gear Score, took a mk3 Defender instead if the mk5 Shooter, which backfired big time, because the other three all used their mk5s and we could kill this person too easily. But this was not about bad matchmaking, it was someone trying to fool the system, which in this case did not work.

    When I play 2 vs 2 alone the mm seems fine, but when I fleet with a mk4, then it seems to go wrong.

    I have mk6 ship and I got matched against teams of mk7 all the damn time with gearscore much higher than me.
    At this point I just can't help but suspect that events are just devs way of giving their paying whales free wins. Us f2p peasants are just punching bags for them.

    Two mk6s with 8.2-8.5k GS each against two mk7s with 10.4-10.7k each, but this is a fair fight in some universe with which I'm probably not familiar :p.     I imagine that the matchmaking works based off the higher of the two player's "power level" similar to how ranked MM is based on the highest infamy of the fleet, not the average. When you go in solo, the matchmaking has more leeway to create a balanced average by giving you a higher/lower teammate.
