Interceptor Rewards

I think you should get random ship pieces from crates (currently it's only interceptor but there will be more) and then you can request ship pieces in guild.

 

I have pulled 5 100 and have hit the 2k prize 3 times. I now only need 600 more coin with the 100 coin purchase to get the interceptor. The 100 piece has been good so far. Overall you need to earn around 1200 coins to get the interceptor with a 20% success rate of getting the 2k prize.

 

Do you mean donate pieces to your guild mates? That would be cool for those who are uniterested with using the new ship, at least they would still have a reason to play events.

Why not ban pieces, after youve bought the ship with pieces, lvling should be the same as with all the ships.. gold.

 

Let's refer back to the Gatling gun launch, the gun was released, tons of people spent money to buy it and found out it was ineffective so they changed it's attributes to compensate.
I'm sure we will see a similar situation here.
Ship pieces as event rewards is proving to be ineffective so the system will likely be changed either by your suggestion or by making ship pieces easier to obtain/ requiring less pieces.
They made it the way they did so they could get an influx of revanue from all the hype and people not wanting to grind for pieces so they just buy them. In the long term this is a poor system for multiple new ships and we can expect a change.

 

It is not banning ship pieces after the ship is bought with pieces. It is letting players upgrade with gold or ship pieces, so those who get a lot of pieces can get bonus levels. Actually I am hoping the plan is to switch upgrading after the event to gold. This means the players who played and earned the ship pieces have a head start then can use gold the rest of the way. This way the players who paid or played have an advantage over those who skipped the event.

 

It's fair to convert upgrades to gold post event. To get the L1 boat in the first place already requires massive grinding... 25 hours by my calculations.
