I think the matchmaking has improved since the last update

    This topic IS being handled seriously, btw. The devs have claimed, in past matchmaking threads, that they are constantly trying to streamline and improve matchmaking.

    The issue with matching MK1 with MK6 is a side-effect of

    a) Not leveling all boats at once. It would solve so many problems if MK6 players were not allowed to bring out their MK1's.

    b) Allowing significant infamy drops. Let's be realistic, if a boat reaches 3000 infamy, there's no reason to allow them to go to 100 infamy because it's not realistic. Skill doesn't magically disappear. There are good arguments to stick players around their highest infamy rather than what happens now...matchmaking at that number rather than their current infamy. That alone tells you how inaccurate the instant-infamy number really is.
