How to use FREE CAM mode - with pictures!

Here's an edited screenshot of Sub Zero no access zone but with the big steel doors open.

 

It doesn't work on my HTC 10...

 

This mode coupled with a future play/pause button would be great for capturing great shots for YouTube channels

I had some fun using the free cam in this one.

 

i tried 7 fingers, doesn't work, but 8 does, Galaxy Tablet S3.

in terms of control, my entire left side of screen is PAN (L/R/F/B); Entire right side of screen is TILT (L/R/U/D) initial touch is the 0 point, drag further away from initial touch point to increase motion.

Personally, I'd rather left side was PAN (L/R/U/D); and right screen was TILT ( L/R/U/D); and edge of screen was throttle F/B.
and maybe screen corners could be functions like auto-follow player... and auto center on all, or camera presets... think in terms of live e-sports competition needs. You want to be able to switch focus to any player on the fly, or to an overview of the action. and for competitions, you might want a way to utilize multiple people individually operating separate views, in combo with a commentator control screen ... if you decide the screen into ¼, that's 4 selectable camera views, or 3 live, and one replay/freeze-frame/production view... obviously, Joe Youtuber won't have need of that, but you want that functionality in place for competitive events.

 

Very good overview and suggestions! I agree with almost everything (although I like the current positioning of pan and tilt controls as it is similar to in game controls).

Follow player would be incredible for tournaments a long with the ability to switch between players.

And custom spectating modes, yes please!

Wow, this would be really awesome of we could create cinematic camera paths and export the replay as videos.

 

can't do that from iphone 6.

 

I know the IPhone 5 can do it, so I highly doubt the 6 can't

 

Guys, I am so dumb! When it said "tap the screen with 7 fingers", I thought, "how the heck is that possible? Do these people actually have 7 fingers on each hand?!" But then I remembered you can use both hands to touch the screen...

 

It's just really hard to do, I'm guessing. I still can't pull it off consistently, and when I do I have no idea what I did differently. There's probably some hidden detail we're missing.

 

I think it's more difficult on older devices. It's incredibly easy on my Galaxy S8+, but I've seen others struggle using an older iPhone.

 

I have an iPhone 7 Plus and I've never been able to get it to work. Maybe someone will post a video them doing it.

Does the Galaxy J7 Prime count as an older phone lol

 

I've tried this at least 50 times and haven't gotten it to work. it started to work once then the app crashed and restarted and never happened again. isn't there an easier way to access the free cam then touching the screen with 7 fingers? seems like a strange way to access a feature...

 

According to the devs. Free cam isn't an official feature of the game and there arent any official plans for it yet.
So I'm not sure if there will be an easier way to enter the mode. Like I said previously, it's works perfectly for me. But there are many people who don't have the same opinion.
