I ussally start my matches as a fixer with "Help! Help! Together!"
The Help get peoples attention, as it's not spammed like together.

Is it necessary? No. Is it appreciate? Absolutely! It’s a rare treat when I have a yellow boat cover me like that, most times they’re on the other side of the map lol. But definitely the longer I’m around to give heals, the longer you guys can be around to dish out damage. Even staying close by to stun a flanker, or get between him and myself to block the shot are also great tactics to prolonging my life. There’s nothing worse than watching 4 boats drive off in 4 different directions, only to see an enemy speeder hunt me down at his leisure, thanks Fam......

 

I try to size up the enemy team. If I see a fleeted pair of speeders or 3 yellow boats I'm definitely going to be keeping a close guard on my fixer. Besides, there's no need to go chase them. They'll show up soon enough Otherwise I try to keep a more distant watch on our fixer but since I'm a dual nitro speeder I can get across half the map pretty much right away and I'm constantly scanning for any green vs. red battle so I can make it a 2v1. Obviously, if that 1 green is my fixer then yeah, I'm on it.

 

I could use a "get away from me" button. Some people take together so seriously, as a defender i dont mean, eat that torp while your right next to me. Even i dodged it!!!

 

This concept of staying together is so foreign to battlers that I've only seen it demonstrated once in my entire career; and a really long time ago too:

I used to say "Negative" on my shooter on those rare instances when someone said follow me. The reason was that I was a brawler and was intending to head into the thick of things. Given that nobody else on the team was likely to be geared or skilled for that "following me" would be team suicide.

Later, I realized that team cohesion is more important than my plans so if someone wants to follow me, even in my speeder, then I'll lead them where they need to go. Later I'll get where I need to go.
