Hard Life for a fixer.

    Except for the fact that Fixer was my main boat for my first couple thousand games... but let's not account for that fact.

    Teammates going rambo, not following orders, splitting up, being overall potatoes, AFKs, tankers... Sound familiar?

    Yeah. I'm someone who has 450 or so battles in a fixer. I made Master 3 in a fixer mk3 on my main ID when I was practicing it. I guess that gives me the right to speak about the fixer?

    Your problems as fixer are common to speeders, enforcers and defenders(that I know of) as well as damn near every support class in every game ever.

    The problem is that these issues are made bigger by the fact that fixers are basically a fat, weak, slow, defenceless and non-combat unit when THESE EXACT ISSUES OCCUR.

    All fixer mains, I think, suffer not from bad teammates, but the fact that they have very little self-defence capability.

    you know why?
    all ships use weapons
    shooter has a very large variety of them for different playstyles and more
    you can get them from quests that can be used for anytime, for any ship
    would you rather have a leggy box, or sniper?

    I think shooters are fully balanced ship that does not require nerf
    p.s. i love my super-puper leggy box! (cause its fun and I ve sharp eye) And lovely carronade/ firebomb/ big torp!

    trueee, these words must be written in gold on a large stone of eternity)))

    But I think this is a good place for the phrase, "Therein lies the rub".

    How can a fixer be balanced to make sure it's balanced just perfectly to defend itself, but not so much that it becomes OP?

    It is impossible to improve the "hp or defence rate" of fixers, it will be very OP
    But devs can:
    1.increase the "angle of rotation" of boat (for greater maneuverability)
    2. make a super "penalty" to use more than one duct tape.
    3. finaly increase rewards stars and 10% sugar / gold !
    And everybody is happy!

    MK 5 Fixers are the only MK 5 boats I see in NML if there’s any. Have you ever seen a MK5 Shooter, Enforcer or Speeder? Let’s not even mention Defender.

    Yes to all 4. Fixer is the most common though, thats what happens when you can sit back and rely on supporting stronger teammates while they do the heavy lifting.

    Don't penalize fixers for using bandages. They're free to use whatever they'd like to use. That would be like penalizing shooter for using multiple mortars, or enforcers using two tesla shields.

    Also, what if fixers are given an extra yellow slot point so try can fit tesla shield to defend themselves?
