I disagree. If you carefully watch the burning Shooter near the end, we clearly see the pulse hit him, and his fire is removed along with the frost covering the Guardian.

 

I could honestly care less on whether or not this thing will cost ship pieces, I just want that new shield for my enforcer.

 

They said new item type... This could simply mean new items, OR it could mean that the shield and pulse are a new, Guardian only color. Since they said "type" I find the latter more likely. And let's not forget that green was exclusive to one ship for the longest time... Rovio could totally introduce a new color for only one ship, and potentially expand on its accessibility later, like with green items and the Fixer/Reaper.

Correction: this is a nerf to people who use yellow boats, fire bombs, and flares.

 

It doesn't prove that it doesn't either though

I'm pretty sure the shooter was stunned not burning.
You can see just at the end of that clip he gets hit with a flare and it cuts to black.
My guess is this was intentional so they dont give away whether removes burn or not. We just have to wait and see...

 

One thing I am wondering is if the bubbles or shield Will be Blue slots or something else. Also with the bubbles how will it scale? If it removes stun, fire, Frost is it a reduction of time to make us have to level it or is it a green like repair pulse. If it is a blue item and it’s main function is removing fire, Frost, stun it would even be worth running it a low levels just for that.

 

General opinion based on Rovio's annoucement text is that the new items will be a new color and Guardian exclusive, much like greens and the Fixer way back when.

I wish I'd thought of this before I bought a bunch of parts from the shop.

We don't even know how strong it is, plus maybe it will give you defenders something interesting to do.

 

My thoughts about the Guardian are:

1)It will have speed slightly higher than that of Defender

2)Since there is a new item type made especially for Guardians,I think the layout will be like as follows:.

3 Weapons with 4 slot points
3 Blue Items with 4 slot points
2 *New Item Type* with 3 slot points

This is what I'm thinking.What do u think guys?

I hope those items are blue otherwise this ship gonna be more useless in ranked than other two because we won't be able to make use of those special slots if we don't have the special items.

And good luck getting those epics before 2025.
