Yeah,I keenly watched the video once. Here is what I observed:

1)Here,we can see a Guardian boat coming. In the front,we can see a "Shield" like symbol.

2)We can see that symbol clearly here.

3)Here the Guardian uses some kind of new item to shield from Cannons,Flare gun and Gatling gun(Point Damage Weapons). So,it can be used to shield our teammates too,I think so.

4)In the right,we can see a speeder in stun.

5)Guardian uses some kind of pulse similar to Repair Pulse.

6)Look here!! The Speeder's stun is removed.

7) Here,we can see that Guardian in frost and one shooter in stun.

8)Guardian uses the pulse again.

9)Now,both stun and frost are removed.

 

You know, I really like the bubble effects.

 

josh, same man... Idk if you saw, but I posted an idea for a ship named "guardian" with similar mechanics a while back. Also copied it into one of these update hype threads the other day.

 

So, the new item type seems to specialize in buffing/supporting teammates through other means than healing, something we haven't really seen before. Wide radius personal shield and a debuff cleanser, possibly more yet unrevealed.

 

I'm still dismayed by the fact that the new ships require new currency, when Rovio would have already boosted their income by using the ships as the loss leaders for new items, as items are already brutal to level up. Most players getting a Reaper likely didn't have 2 strong of each color. Most players getting Interceptor probably didn't have a strong Yellow to go with 4 strong Reds. Again, I can't be excited about new content if it keeps getting introduced this way.

 

dont worry, you can still pay well over the cost of any game currently in existence to buy and upgrade it

So it looks like 2 new items one where it creates a shield to protect against point damage wepons but overall like Tesla shield. I wonder if it will be able to stop torpedoes.

The 2nd was “ bubbles?” It was some sort of pulse but what would it do? Would this grant defense to others, remove fire, make others faster? I really am curious as to what this ability will be called and will do. I hope they call this ability “tiny bubbles” just to make me laugh when I see the ability used in battle.

 

I am mostly interested in new game mode. There are lot of things that devs can add. They should release this next year. Focus on more new game mode. TBH majority of the people want new game mode. New type of rewards something etc etc that hook into the game.

 

Higher up on this thread, a mate of mine analyzed the trailer. We've basically proved that the bubbly boi is a debufff cleanser, capable of removing/reducing frost, stun, and even fire.

 

It seems to me like this ship is an aggressive support to the Fixer's passive. While Fixers heal their team and aren't packing the strongest offense or health bar, the Guardian seems like it'll be more tanky and/or have more attack power. It will support its teammates by curing debuffs or using a wide-radius protective shield.

 

There was no proof in the video that shows that the pulse removes fire.
