Global Chat Rooms Changes

I chose map! Sometimes I like to talk to people who's infamy scores are vastly different from mine, like the pros or to give some advice to the newbies. Also, people who are recruiting others with different infamy than their range (like me some time ago recruiting less than 1000 infamy people) would have some difficulty doing so if the chats become infamy based. Maybe instead we could keep the current map chats but add another (few) based on infamy?

 

It would become infamy based in name only. It would not prevent you from going to any chat. The idea would be to help shepherd players to find each other better. Chill zone has become a popular chat, but the others are all random. Might as well be chat 1, 2, 3, etc. Renaming them would prevent cross posting (for example when im looking for a recruit, I have to post it in all chats).

 

Wait, what do you mean? It it that the names of all the other chats except chill zone (which isn't very chill) will be changed to 1, 2, 3...? Or is it that the current chats will remain but there would be a few extra chats for people in the player's infamy range? If any of these are what you were trying to say, then I do not agree with the first possibility (l like the current chat names!) But I agree with the second possibility; I was trying to say that in my previous post.

 

Just combine the two. It kinda works with the current labels. Make the names
Dropdead Gorge (0-999 infamy)
Crude Awakenings (1000-1999 infamy)
The Fighthouse (2000-2999 infamy)
Subzero (3000-3999 infamy)
Destruct 9 (4000+ infamy)
Chillzone (Offtopic)
Crash n Burn (?)
The Foundry (Recruitment)
Damage Depot (Help Room)

I almost think we do not need a dedicated room for recruiting if you can just look for a new player in the infamy rooms.

 

I kind of bounce between 1900-2100 infamy...
I would still prefer the current chats to remain 'neutral', but I guess there are more advantages than disadvantages to such a system. Looks like I would never belong in destruct 9 then (until a few years later)

 

Again, these would be changes in NAME only, to help filter the community. As it is now, there is no point in going to one chat room over another unless you and your friends agree to always meet in a specific room. You will always be free to go to and join the conversation in ANY chat room.
