The matching making is totally broken. Developers do nothing to fix it. I came down from 4k to 3k and it feels like impossible to go back to 4k again. And after bringing us down with matchmaking they punish us with infamy tanking tool. And then they talk about fair play. Fair enough!

 

Uh lifes not so bad. Just today I was looking back. 6 months ago I was at 1200 with a mk2 shooter. Today I got my mk4 shooter out- used speeder for the lastfew months and found myself at 1400. Life's harsh and u might say use speeder, but then again my best on speeder is 1900, which i got 3 months ago. Its always going to be stupid.

 

We'll see. I figure that's Rovio's problem. I'm finally playing exactly the way they intend. If I end up getting slammed with a brutal penalty for it then what's there to say?

So far, at least, that seems unlikely to happen. My infamy seems to have stabilized at something like 1900 (down from 2200 with a high of 2350... don't ask me why). I just keep playing and loving the game because my matches are more or less evenly balanced so the game is a ton of fun. I don't even really care about advancement, either gear or infamy. I would like to "git gudder" however.

 

I guess you don't play much cause I'm also playing nearly from 6 months and my personal best is 4003. But it is depressing when you spend a lot of time on this game and still you stay near 3k.

 

I have played for 7.5 months altogether. 4.7k matches. I was so proud when getting to 1000 at mk2, u might have seen me as a mk3 at that infamy. These days I dont even bother to gain infamy because I have spent so long not winning.

 

wtf, how many ships do u have in the background of ur lobby. Its like a zombie apocalypse or it could just be a bay party

It happens to me occasionally but I have to say don’t worry cause I always find my way back up to my usual infamy range soon enough. Chances are there’s been a subtle but crucial change in your gameplay or the competitiveness of the players your getting matched with. If it’s due to the second reason than likely you’ve changed your usual gameplay time or day from what you usually do. Possibly resulting in you playing against a larger pool of more competitive and less casual players. Of course this is all speculation. But I highly doubt the game is intentionally and specifically placing you with harder opponents or weaker allies to rank your infamy. Just try to think about this and observe your gameplay for any recent or subtle but crucial changes. Surely your doing something different that might just not be working.

 

IDK.. seems to happen alot and to a large portion of players. They go down a large amount of infamy for no apparent reason

I do like the game, but i think some things need to be changed and it frustrating and aggravating at times

The amount of people dropping is the same as the amount of people rising. There’s a balance and your only letting your self see one side. If a majority of the players were losing Infamy then the Ace & Nightmare League would be getting smaller. But THAT IS NOT THE CASE. For every 5 players that lose Infamy in a battle, another 5 gain Infamy. Analyze your gameplay and figure out why your currently on the side that’s losing. I don’t want to make this post about me. But from time to time I self analyze my Gameplay after losing a lot. And almost everytime I shoot back up 200-400 Infamy.

 

The overall amount may be the same, but it doesn't have to be. In an infamy system like this, it's very possible to have a bunch of new P2W folks come in and push the F2P players down to a lower stable infamy than they were before. There are plenty of early players who can testify how much easier it was on to get to 4k with Rares back in the day than it is now, a situation which the 800 drop penalty ignores.

 

The game is more about having fun while sinking ships than care about the stupid infamy

 

Before couple of days i went from 3500 to 2600

And in my mini account went from 1100 to 500 in the same day

Not nitro, just turbo.. just makes your shooter do a tiny bit faster

 

In the community I’m involved with we see a lot more F2P players than P2W players. I strongly disagree that there is a mysterious P2W crowd that recently joined to push down the F2W players. This is simply pure speculation and you have no evidence to back this up except for superstition. You guys can’t just make random assumptions to back your frustrations.
