Game Direction Communication

This is exactly it. There are a lot of enthusiastic players who spend a lot more time on the game than the Devs do, offering fantastic ideas. The least the Devs could do propose some ideas (their own and/or based on player suggestions) and solicit feedback before an Event. Right now they are shotgunning ideas as events then soliciting feedback afterwards... that's a sure-fire way to make mistakes, and by @The Grim Repair's own admission, they know that's what they are doing.

IMO there's actually nothing wrong with this Event, it's fun... though maybe too much like a normal match. I've been skipping Event Rewards for weeks because I don't like the perks, or more specifically, I don't like the odds of getting spending 3 events worth of effort to get a perk I don't want, because I'm already 0 for 2. It would have made more sense to make all Legendary perks in this event some sort of Fire perk ...because it is a a Fire event after all? Instead this became just another set of rewards to skip, because the perks are both the worst mix and the most expensive. If someone doesn't use fire, they can save coins for the next event when there is a set of perks they want. That's OK, and everyone should embrace the concept... and that's the way to temper RNG for everyone. The Devs are hell-bent on making sure everything is a long-odds lottery though.
