Top 50 nightmare speeder players and the combos
- 7 frost
- 9 flare + explo
- 6 sniper + explo
- and 6 other combos
So that’s 25% of top speeders that use frost torp. Maybe you remember frost, because you get killed by them more often?

 

It is the only combo against which you can not do anything. A shot with big = 2 or 3 with explosive, not to mention with sniper

 

Just stop whining about it. It'll get a nerf soon.

Today on Wayward Pains, I got hit by two sniper crits, and ended up dead with 4:30 still on the clock. What exactly can you do about that? It’s not even a combo. I wasn’t rushing either, just trying to move between cover, barely out my spawn area, and a long range shot comes out of nowhere and steals half my hitpoints.

At least against frost-torp, you can stick together, and try to shut down speeders (even do some damage before they arrive). Against sniper it’s just ‘someone miles away saw your name -> *pang* you’re dead’.

 

you depend on a critic coming out of that sniper.
It was clearly bad luck.
How many hitpoints do you have in total?

 

It’s not bad luck when it does it every other shot, it’s regular luck. And even when it doesn’t crit, it’s still powerful ‘risk free’ damage, that you can’t return.

Edit: I’ve got ~2400hp on a mk4 speeder, which is as high as I can get it with my current gear and talents (unless I drop my turbo). Getting hit by t4 rare sniper for over 1k damage at 1500 infamy.

I’m not complaining, I’m just responding to the argument that ‘frost-torp is somehow unfair, because you (allegedly) ‘can’t do anything about it’.

So is it really frost that's ruining battle bay or just the fact that you had four frost hits all at once? At least evaluate the senario honestly and take a step back. Maybe it needs a similar nerf like the tesla bolt at best where you can't be frosted multiple times within a specified duration of the previous hit or each subsequent hit has a lesser effect even if from another unfriend? But with frost you are only slowed and you can hit back with your weapons so....

 

did you see the video? it's impossible to do something ... and not just frost, stun at a time. If they freeze you, it's five seconds and you're dead.
The stun allows you to move at least, when you are frozen you are a stone and a target much easier, with the stun, a shot and you can at least shoot.
