Floaters - Inactive Players

    Maybe the Shooter is far enough below his peak infamy (I think it's -800pts?) that he's triggered the anti-seal-clubbing detection, but the Enforcer hasn't dropped enough yet? Dev might be able to answer more definitively.

    There is also the race condition bug that creates involuntary floaters. The one where you spawn in the middle of the previous match, it turns you into a floater in the game you were really supposed to play.

    I had the following happen - 2 games played that turns into 3 battle log entries:
    - Played a game.
    - Played a new game, got dropped into previous game (same players, same map, with 1 minute used on the clock).

    Checked battle log, showed 3 games.
    - First game I played
    - The "copy" of the first game we played
    - A game on a different map, mostly with new players, where the 3 of us from the original game were floaters. I bet we all got reported for floating.

    So, if they finally can manage to fix this race condition bug (as I've understood it's really hard, they don't really know what's causing it), then I expect the amount of floaters to be reduced as well.

    I believe your match here was caused by the bug I mentioned. It's highly unlikely that 50% of the players just randomly drop out of "natural" causes. QuynhDao, StarblY, Alexred, Captn Joe, Miojoteam were probably dropped into their previous game - this is exactly what happened with me and two other players in my comment above. Our weapons did not show up in log either.

    I’ve been thinking about that too, but I think it might be exploitable.

    For example: you fleet with a lacky, who’s job is to help boost your infamy. The lacky floats for the first minute or so of the game. If the early game is going well, and it seems like you’ve got a strong team (dishing out damage and getting early kills) then the lacky joins in to helps you to win. If the game doesn’t appear to be going well, or you don’t like the matchup, then the lacky stays floating, and the loss isn’t counted.

    Obviously, the 7 day ban would make it much harder, but still.

    How about, if you fleet with the floater, both of you get the full brunt of the infamy loss, but your team doesn't? It's unfair, but hey, #NoExploits.

    I mean, Vainglory implemented the low priority queue, it isn't democratic, but it's better than nothing xD.
