FlareGun OP against Tesla shield.

    Almost every two slot item can break the Tesla shield.

    Ex cannon and Rail Gun can break the shield directly. Where as big Berta, fire bomb, napalm can break the shield by landing directly on the shield. And I don't need to talk about torp. Big Torp and triple torp can easily go through the Tesla shield without any problem.

    So, yeah! Every two slot item can break the shield. But it's not always the case. :rolleyes:

    so here are possible counters:
    • railgun-really stupid idea when you encounter double bubble because of it's 20s cooldown, yes it deals full damage to tesshield at any range but it's not good against double bubbles because he can raise second shield and his first will be ready before your railgun's cooldown is at it's end
    • ex cannon-effective only against same/lower level tesshields when they have hp perks equiped, long cooldown and slow projectile makes it even harder to use against fast targets and you can't even know whether you will break it or not
    • flare-relatively effective and has decent cooldown and it's also 1 point weapon which makes it even better however it's same problem as ex cannon, not effective against tesshield with hp perks and it's also much better when used against targets without shields which boosts cannons' damage for everyone-making it easier to destroy that target
    • tesla bolt-was almost killed by nerf becuase of it's cooldown, it also doesn't stun the shielded target and the stun resistance makes it even harder to use (and also stupid teammates) when you manage to hit the target when it's shields are down
    • mortars-can be effective aggainst shielded targets because tesshields don't block splash damage but high level (which also run double bubble and one tesshields setups mostly) players have just too fast ships to make it possible to hit them with mortar for high damage
    • grenade-almost same as mortars but is a little bit faster
    • torpedoes-can "penetrate" the tesshield (it doesn't protect against them) but have same problem as mortars, they'r too slow when compared with ships to hit them, you need to be godlike to land majority of them on enfos/speeders to make them effective counter
    • mines-can work as good counter because tesshields don't protect against them but they are useless in majority of encounters because no one will go over them unless he is forced to do so (heavy fire from enemy might force you t run over mine)
    these are probably all counters (and all have some cases when they'r useless) that you can use against tesshields, sorry if I forgot any:)

    How is person like me gonna use all those weapons on speeder and enforcer? Big torp is way too easy to dodge and does not break the shield meaning all other cannons are useless. We are talking about ships that have 2 3 weapons not 5:rolleyes:

    I’m trained for full HP. Pop it and I get a 4 second stun.
    And shooting a Tesla stun breaks it as well.

    So much salt against the title of this post. I'm sorely tempted to start another thread about how Tesla Shields are OP against everything in the bay but I think @ShipCrusherCz covered it pretty well.

    I want to add that building explosive cannon to take out TShield is salt in the wound of those of us still reeling from the cooldown and range nerfs of the explosive cannon. The gun's only remaining power is doing bonus damage against burning targets.

    I stopped buying pearl diver and other stuff because the devs have failed to provide a reasonable explanation for the explosive cannon nerf and subsequent hp perk buffs to the already OP tesla shield. If they nerf flare gun because of complaints like this I'll be over the top with rage.

    Not to mention. It doesn't even count bonus damage from cannon burning damage perks. Devs should adjust that too.

    I'm just a bit salty that it can go through the red invulnerability shield, that ability really promotes spawn camping, and no one likes spawn campers. The period you have the invulnerability shield is meant to allow you to retaliate, not panic because you know you're gonna lose 2k damage once the shield drops.

    but you can also be stunned, freezed and set on fire by fire bomb
    so it's not speciality of flare guns

    Thank you all for share your thought on these thread.

    Nonetheless I’m just want to know how you players feels and experienced about its. Despit all this if Devs could add more variety Weapons and talents would be more better out come. I’m believe it’s almost 2 years since the game introduces us EXC and that is it.
    More weapons and Crew which mean more profitable.

    Anyways thanks again for sharing, let’s hold on to our Bay and let’s Devs decide what’s next move they’re going to make.

    New weapons really hurts F2P players those are already nearing end game. Accommodation of talents, building up new gear almost takes a year maybe not a year with current achievements and events but significantly more time like 4 months atleast. Unless they plan us to give dupes for free:p.

    It'd make sense for a new item to have some kind of limited time event to get a couple dupes. Not all 6, but maybe 2 or 3 depending on how much you do during the event. Let players opt to recieve a random item instead if they don't want the new item.

    Yaaaas. Weapon specific events for new event play again and get a dupe and again for another dupe. Re entering cost 75 100 pearls?

    Takes 2 shots for me to take down max epic shield. I carry 3 weapons (T5 explodey, T4 flare, alternate). Double bubbles are cancer.
