    TL;DR most...

I do this all the time. On Destruct 9 especially. Crash 'n Burn, and the Foundry too. Oh, and on subzero, and on Chill Out when the unfriends are floating back launching mortars.
What it does, when it works and when the friends takes advantage, is splits the unfriends focus. If the unfriends ignore me I still get do damage with my snipers and it's a win/win.
    Where it goes terribly wrong:
    • Where the unfriends are already all heading my way,
    • Where the friends all follow me which leaves us in a bottleneck,
    • Where the friends all focus on one early speeder, which lets 4 unfriends jump on me.
But you have to be prepared to abandon the strategy and as mentioned you have to be pretty fast to get into, and if it goes bad, out of position. And just to top it off while I'm firing I'm laying a trap of mines so the unfriends can't get to my firing position easily.
