[Feedback & suggestions] - Guilds

    I like the guild quests - it's made the game more social - now there's actually a point to being in a guild. And I'm sure it's increased Rovio's revenue - I'm using pearls like crazy.

    I'm sure a bunch of the glitches and unwanted meta-behaviour will be fixed in the next patch. I only have one piece of negative feedback, really:

    Kill 10 ships with napalm launcher is an EASY quest? You. Have. Got. To. Be. kidding.

    Just want to know will rev punish people who quit and enter different guilds to earn tokens all the time :)

    I just leave my suggestions here:

    To prevent quest farming: Cooldown for new members joining a guild. They couldn't do the quests or claim rewards for one day (or more) after joining the guild.

    New quest style:
    1. Not only sinking quests for specific weapons. Add damage dealing. It would also decrease the number of underpowered weapons in the battles. I have seen nightmare players using common weapons and just floating around waiting for easy kills.
    2. Specialist quests for green and yellow items. Now everyone should have a shooter as secondary ship to help with quests as much as possible. Add quests for yellow and green items, too. Its easy: fix xxx hp with repair bolt/box/pulse, stun ships for xxx seconds, freeze ships for xxx seconds with frost blaster/launcher, block xxx damage with tesla shield.

    Oh, and one more: do not allow members of same guild play against each others. I have seen some suspicious moves lately. If player's own guild has a napalm quest, the guildmate in the opposite team can suddenly lose his/her ability to move the ship. It's possible it happens just in the middle of the guildmate's napalm.

    For feedback on guilds here is the list I would like to see implemented.
    #1 lock players into guilds at the start of guild quests. A player can move to a different guild whenever they want but all the kills and rewards go towards the guild they started in and those are the rewards they get. This will help with guild hopping.
    #2 a fleet button within the guild chat. You select fleet then someone in the guild chat can accept and you go to battle. Much better for fleet quests then friending everyone in the guild and trying to find someone online.
    #3 list how many guild members are online so you can see how active your guild is and if players are on to fleet.
    #4 allow 1 refresh of guild quests a day. This should be owned by the leader or a certain level player in the guild. This will allow really tough guild specific quest to be skipped and will also give the dev’s data on what the players really don’t going after. This should allow for improved quests and buffs or nerfs to certain weapons.
    #5 quests based on badges. Get X number of assists, get X number of long shots. This makes badges worth more.
    #6 quest suggestion add creative quests like freeze and stun. Kill or assists a kill with freeze or stun. Heal challenge win 10 battles with full health. Tesla shield block 20 attacks with tesla shield.
    #7 with new quests it might be time to take a look at the cost to upgrade ships and weapons. Cut the cost in 1/2 to upgrade ships so more players will upgrade more ships instead of trying to play a low level ship at high infamy.
    #8 alternative would be to increase gold and sugar won and add gold a sugar to guild quest completion to allow players to upgrade more ships.

    These are my suggestions and should also be simple enhancements that will improve the game.

    Would be Very useful. Hope this gets implemented.
    Would be nice for national guild... But my guild has almost all Indians and Americans! lol... (more than 10 hours difference)

    The tesla quest would be super easy...
    I never got why it cost so much to upgrade my 'ship'
    Or add gold and sugar to raffle board. Would have to be... say... " Gain 25% of your capacity in Gold/sugar"

    At least they should add an option of skipping any quest with other quest, bcoz some people cant kill with napalm launcher so it will be a good idea if they add a skip option per 1 board

    Hi,

    I've been playing the game for a short while now and I have to say that I love the guild quests! But I also have concerns.

    Our guild do quite well, the fleet ones are a bit hard, I'm UK based.... a lot are US based ( I know them from another game haha!) and I'm a little out of their Infamy range... I wasn't before the quests started... anyways, helps if I bullet point this... these are interlinked somewhat and lead into one another.

    1) my infamy has dropped to the point of no return. Below 600 it is really hard to break out of the rut. Usually because the other members aren't good - whether by accident, luck or design. I started off the season by peaking just over 1000. Part of the problem is that by doing the quests and focusing on those people lose sight of the objective of winning. I know you have to win to get it to count but.....
    2) The individual weapon targets are causing the problem. Ones like the cannon kills or the blast cannon aren't a problem as a lot of people use them in our guild and they tend to be quite powerful, However... the carronade? I was "lucky" to get a 'rare' one and have upgraded that to lvl 8 plus I bought a rare item perk (+6 To Damage) which is specific to the damage for the carronade. I started leveling it up yesterday... 36 hours later.... our guild has done a massive 9/24. it is the only quest that hasn't been completed on the board. I've done so many battles and yet only had 5 kills count, the game even gives me my own quest with the carronade as my fave weapon. argh!.
    The problem with the carronade doing "kills" is that, unless it is upgraded significantly or a high level item, it just doesn't do enough damage. You are basically waiting until someone has nearly died before you can 'jump in' and 'save the day'. Either I am taking them from other people or I 'prep' someone to the point I can take out the opposition with a carronade, wait for it to reload so I can fire and... boom.. someone else has taken the kill. It was the same with the napalm launcher. which leads me to ....
    3) Selfishness. Focusing on just one weapon has resulted in many lost matches by loosing focus on the game as a whole as my focus in on identifying a victim I can kill with a particular weapon. I may win that kill.. but then find I am the only person on my team and there are 4 of theirs still very much alive. Or how about when I tried to heal a team mate when I played a fixer, I could see he was in trouble, went over to him.. and was healing him whilst trying to hit the opposition with the carronade ( and no, chipping a bit of paint off didn't help scare him away lol!). the team mate died, the opposition was left wth <150 health so I decided on killing him...to my surprise I found the second fixer on my team on top of me chasing after him.... the rest of the team had died after he abandoned them to get the kill. There have been so many attacks where I have done single weapon quest kills that have ultimately been lost as we failed to get the win because we are so focused on the quests.
    4) reduced effectiveness has caused my infamy to plummet. , firstly, I'm not carrying one of my favourite weapons that help me succeed. To take the carronade I dropped my sniper cannon from my shooter...Did I mention that I am a fixer ? Yup, to do the single weapon quests I have to change my boat... which are sometimes underleveled and do not hold enough weapons for me to be any use lol. It has impacted on upgrades of the weapons I do like and prefer to use, in short I have stopped doing upgrading them, so my ability to gain infamly is impaired further.
    5) one of the noticiable things from the rivalries is that they aren't very rivalrous, and I think that this is because it is too hard, too early on. I love a challenge and I love the concept of doing different quests with different weapons and different boats, but if you are new or mid level then you haven't got the tools to complete. Many people have scrapped weapons because they didn't like/want/need them so they could upgrade their own weapons of choice. i know that this will even itself out in the long term, I kept one of each weapon.. just in case. This is a shame because, due to the guild quests, I have my first epic yellow item.... and I am two pieces away from my first epic blue item yay. I appreciate that you don't want to make them too easy - considering the rewards available, but maybe looking at the quests people find hardest and changing them slightly to make them more achievable with some effort would help, rather than exasperation


    Having said that .... whilst writing this I have just did my first penta kill and 3 were killed by carronade

    I definatly feel your pain. For the first round I tried using some different weapons and just lost infamy. This round I chose to work on quests that I could accomplish with my speeder and within the guidelines i normally play. I also play more for the win the hunting for specific kills. Here is a great example I am trying to get kills with my cannon and I just had a great match where I got 4 kills. The problem though is I got 4 kills with my big torpedo. I didn’t steal kills as my torpedo does 1600 damage. The problem I had was my torpedo does 1600 damage so when I hit someone with it they either die or someone else from my team kills them. Now if I wanted to get more kills with my cannon I should really bring another primary weapon but doing 1600 damage in one go is really satisfying.

    I believe it has vastly decreased the revenue..I've seen quite a few comments by big spenders who have paid to get legendary say they'll no longer pay. Why pay when you can get them by exploiting the Guild Quests?
    They've basically messed up BIG time..and unless they take action against those who have exploited it..I'm sure many big spenders will stop paying.

    Perhaps they were seeing slower revenue and fewer new players. I agree that the big spending has gone out the window with this update, but it does require players to spend a little to increase their inventory size since they are getting tons of great stuff. So maybe just a quick money grab type move to squeeze the last they can?

    So as I was jumping on today I used my free boost and went in to battle. I got 2 stars in a win and since I am going for stars I was like yes!! I was also going for kills and got 0. The next battle I got 2 kills and 1 Star in a loss so I was still helping the guild. The problem is no boost. I think boosts should last longer than 1 add. Make boosts last 1/2 hour so you can boost your quests for a time period compared to a 1 win wonder.
    2nd item of quests that I think should happen is board 2 and up should offer more raffle pulls. In board 2 you have to get significantly more to get similar rewards which is one of the main reasons for guild hopping. If the reward was significantly better in board 2+ More players would want to complete board 2+. The other option is to make board 2 + much easier to complete. Increase the kills by 5 instead of 14. I am not sure what board 3 looks like as my guild has only gotten to board 2 and it is painful to try and clear for the casual alliance I am in.

    Yeah pretty sure damage and star quests do not require a win, which really drains guild boosts. I don't recommend you do these quests while on 5x boost.

    Would be enough to give possibilities to the team to exclude a player from the battle with a votation ( with 4 on 4 "yes" he will be excluded from the current battle) and then been replaced from another player; it could be done in the first 10-15 seconds of the battle... its just an idea...

    I have the same issue. No one in my guild to fleet with :-/. It’s my guild too and its full of newbies. Everyone at my amount of infamy is in another Guild. There are a couple of guys but they are in different time zones. I had one guy hop in my guild to work on a quest but not sure that is kosher. Maybe I need to find friends with battle bay benefits to jump in my guild and help with quests. Somehow I think that might be a problem for battle bay. Mercenary guild quest players. Lol

    Just got this raffle board for the current season:

    Three blue parts, two scraps, and four cooldown buffs (two of them for Nitro). Does the system hate me or something? Is it because we came in 2nd place? Is 2nd place just the 1st loser to you, Rovio? What did we do to deserve this?

    Point being: Why are there so many dupes allowed on the raffle board???
