F2P (or mostly f2p) How many legendary pieces have you gotten?

Lol..yup..just about spot on..if only you'd added a legendary piece on that hook

 

Has anyone tried consistently spending gold on common items for a longer period of time and scrapped them to see if they could amass a decent number of leg pieces?

 

Someone started a thread doing exactly that. They came out ahead a bit, but no Legendary weapons. Others posted as well but weren't as fortunate.

Addressing the thread: I have played for a few months now. Almost 4k battles and I have bought the 2800 pearl package a few times to convert to gold. Never bought an Epic crate. I have 1 yellow, 1 blue, 1 green and 2 red Legendary pieces. Paying doesn't seem to get you more pieces unless you buy the crate from what I have seen.

Yes I have tried it (that post LotharusMaximus gave was mine) Its actually a very very good method for finding rare item pieces, but I'm not sure about legendary ones. After scrapping 200 items I got a legendary green item and a legendary powercell, which I would assume is very lucky. I would guess that most people wouldn't get that if they tried it, but it seems liks you always make your money back through rare item pieces anyway! I would try scrapping a bunch of common items, it's low risk, and potentially high reward!

Got one from star crate and one from scrapping a rare weapon

 

2 Red 1 Blue 1 Yellow
No money spent, but it translates to time used.

 

I've played a bunch I've managed to gel 2 Legendary red never spent a dime I've been playing since global launch
Safe to say I won't be getting one anytime soon

 

I have scrapped many. Never got a leg piece but I scrapped a rare item after scrapping commons and got a leg piece. I have scrapped enough commons to get 160k common parts all from scrapping commons then I started upgrading each common to level 10 just to reduce my common parts count but luck seems to be the same.

Got my 2nd today! Yea!!!! Only 2 or 3 years to go! ;p

 

Im around 1900 infamy with mk 4 enforcer and tier 2/3 rares going up against ppl with tier 3/4 epics and tier 1 legendaries NOT OK
