Does the RNG Get... "Stuck"?!

I have received 9 Rare Blast Cannons and only 2 Rare Sniper Cannons. I think I'm the only one at my infamy still rocking an Uncommon Sniper because I can't see to ever get another rare one or an epic one. The RNG is working great for me on Epics. In another few weeks I should officially have ONE of every red Epic weapon. Well, I do have two grenades.

 

I wish I had your luck. I'm still waiting for my 2nd rare blast cannon. I wish I had it level 50 and the same for epic blast cannon. I got 2 sniper and I don't even use it. My luck with items is fucked. I can't have the items I want. I get mortars after mortars. Gear lube after gear lube and healer items. Like for fucks sake I need speeder items. The game definitely hates me and I bitch about a stupid game. Imagine how pathetic my life is.

 

Instead try and request the devs to give you one I did and guess what I got my third blast cannon after combining parts happy with my tier 3 blast cannon.

 

I think we all have that one or two items that seem crazy hard to get. The fact that it's a different item(s) for everyone shows that the RNG is truly RNG. For me, it's big shield and turbo. Only ever got 1 rare big shield and 0 epic, and 1 rare turbo 1 epic.

 

I would argue that your epic RNG is actually very nearly the least likely outcome for one individual in a truly random system. To wit:

For your first epic item ever, you have a 35/35 chance of it being something new. Then, for your next, a 34/35, and so on, all the way down the line as you get more and more items. It's considerably less likely that you get one of everything before getting two (or more) of at LEAST one thing, more likely two or three of a handful of items before landing that 1/35 that is the one item you don't have. Naturally, the other extreme is also unlikely (albeit less so, it will happen to 1/35 of people); it's fairly rare to get two or more of one epic before getting more than one different kind of epic.

Edit: something something math. That second formula wasn't right, but my brain refuses to produce the correct one. Just deleted it for now.

Edit2: Okay, now I remember. for all epics to be unique until you get one of everything, the probability is 1*(34/35)*(33/35)*(32/35)....(1/35). It's a very, very small number.

 

Well, rest assured, I have made the most of it. I have it maxed at T4 lvl 40 and it is my favorite weapon (2x 3% Rare Crit Perks and 1 Rare Damage Burn Perk). Just not the easiest to hit with. Getting Bhurt to Lvl V takes a significant amount of time and sugar. Been working the other crew members but I'm about ready to start working on Bhurt again. Once I have a T5, I'll start upgrading the other 3 (since you technically need 6 for T5) and hopefully get at least one more so I can have a T5 and T4.

 

I've gotten, and scrapped 2, more rare standard cannons since.

Got an epic sniper and a rare red piece from a reward crate. The piece put me at 10 so I combined... Do i need to say what I got?

Sometimes when me n my bf open a rare box from our quest list. It will be the same thing. Same day same time. Hmmmmm lol
