Devs? When are you going to buff us weak defenders?

Just because your an mk7 defender doesn't mean you will cross 5k
Edit : current example from league -
Just been two days since season reset, and one defender already made it above 4.8k -

And in the previous seasons other players such as Naotsugu and KSA made it across 5k in their defenders too. They earned it. Not that it cant be achieved.
The fact that 5k cant be attained isn't a problem with defender, its either not reaching upto the mark with gameplay or bad luck.
Also, less of a ship type in the top list doesnt mean a ship is underpowered or need a buff always.
What if players choose not to play defender?
Its everyone wish to play what they want, and if the top guns in the bay dont prefer defender then obviously there wont be much of them in the high leagues.
And once again, crossing 5k or a infamy bar is dependent on your gameplay. Others have done it, no reason to blame the defender.

Totally agreed....I am facing some deadly defender rs here, ones who knows when to penetrate our defenses, changing the tide of match.
Maybe a buff on mk7 only should do the trick.

 

Ksa didnt make it. He was a 1 day defender player same guild as me.

Last 6 seasons. Only 3 defender plays reached top 200. Oberst, oato, and Jaws.

We each went above 5k. But the cap is at 5.4 for oberst. 5.3k for myself. And 5.3 for Oato.

Benjen is playing primarily enforcer.
But when he played Defender his cap was 5.6k.
We arent getting higher. Its not a skill issue.

Benjen has Legendary Tier 5 Weapons. His 5.6k score didnt even get him in the top 20.

Think about this.

All other boats are top 10. Except Defender. Skill isnt the issue. Its the boats flaws. And its stupid easy to hit for opponents.

Thr number 1 boat for league play has been won by boats only rocking Epic weapons. So a Defender with Legendary tier 5 cant even win verses epic weapons. ???

It takes more skill getting a Defender boat to over 5k then any of the other boats.
Every other boat on the bay guns for Defenders in order to get weapons damage rewards. We are the legendary weapon givers.
Inglorious Meat Shields. With the majority of our weapons be distance nerfed. So we must fight even closer to damage. And die quicker before firing back.

This is defender.
A mis-fit boat on the water which our developers seemingling forgot about.
They dont play our boat. They havent taken any defender challenges to even play it for two weeks.
If they did. Defender might of been fixed sooner. Sure Defender can get u to 4k. But this isnt a 4k infamy league anymore. Its a 6.2k to win league. Fact. As Defenders. We dont even get a chance to sniff Victory in the higher circles of competing.

Aint skill. Its boat related. U have better chance of being a fixer with 2 weapons like Weeze to win League. Which he did twice. Then to be Blue and win.

Final thought....Since last 2 nerfs.
In 2 months my kill ratio went down from .88 to .84. Thats a drastic drop caused by all weapons nerfs to ex cannon and enforcer buffs developers did.
And my overall infamy level dropped 200 points. As in I cant reach my previous high score.
I know many other defenders whose kill ratio and infamy has dropped further than mine. This needs fixed. Do it thru the many ideas suggested on countless forums. Asap. Be liberal. 3 players in top 200. Soon it might be 2 or 1. Or none. Most of us top players on this boat are frustrated. And gonna switch boats. Or stop playing. Choice is developers.

And about oberst?
He is even using explosive cannons which were nerfed. (With posts stating they are pretty much useless for defenders after update)
My argument was on defenders crossing the upper bounds such as 5k, because i've seen it before and even now, and its always possible.

Rest i dont mind a buff, Altough I dont think defenders are desperately in need of a buff, but i do agree on some points such as the defender hitbox size is more, which could be lesser or to the actual visual size.

As for the general stats buff, the only way possible currently without affecting the lower mks will be to increase the passive attributes of mk-7.(Such as HP, rotation etc)

Any devs chiming in on this topic yet? Anymore frustrated defenders have feedback? Or have they mostly quit and gave up???

 

Yea, I'm losing hope fast... I've went from 30hrs+ per week, down to, please just let me get this daily done and try to make a fair contribution to guild quest... so yea under 10 hrs. I guess blue fits defender well, it's got us singing the blues...

 

Guys!!! I know okay I know you defender lovers out there r barely hanging on I know I may not he a Defender lover but you guys are Right defender ever gets any buffs all I seen is nerfs I know but just Hang in there I mean there's always Hope for Every Ship Right?
