    Nah! It is well-balanced, the AOE is basically the reason why I prefer Explosive over the Blast cannon.

    I think there is no way to maximize 2 items from the same crew member, you'll have to choose which training would bring more impact on your game.

    Correct, but at least the training conflict between Explosive and Blast isn't as severe as others like Sniper and Blast.

    Explosive Cannon doesn't really come into its own until above the Bhurt Tier IV unlock though; then you suddenly find yourself getting +50% damage over seven levels (Lv21, 23, 25, 27) so if you aren't there, the Blast may serve you better short-term.

    Also, consider "what do you have the duplicates to evolve?"

    This is exactly one of the reasons I am going to try Swift Torp + Explosive Cannon. Sniper Cannon + Explosive Cannon is a great combo too. I know that Flare + Blast/Explosive is the meta, but having higher burst damage can absolutely change a game.

    Also, as a blast cannon sharpshooter(hey, I ain't braggin') I've found that hitting consistently with the blast cannon at close to its max range is waaay easier than doing the same on an excannon. Note: I have t4 rares of both.

    Agreed. However, I often hit some shots with both weapons that just make me laugh. I should make a compilation of ridiculous shots.
