I think if the black market was added, you might buy powerful but unstable weapons

Are you high dude?? I would stop playing this goddamn game if that happened...it would be PR nightmare for rovio, as people would be pointing out this in app review on store.. Their store already sucks enough, u don't have to do anything extra.

Common dupe price= normal uncommon price + (x) amount for league +(x) amount for capt level.
Since you can't buy legendarys, normal legendary price would be 6000 pearls.
Also, it would be availible for only a few days every month.

I would not allow the direct purchase of duplicates. You need some sort of cap even for "whales". However, I would change the upgrade system so it would allow a duplicate of a higher rarity item. This would help both high and low level players while penalizing them with an "astronomical price" for not finding the item "naturally".

If that does not make sense, here is an example using a cannon but could apply to all items. Say you have a lev 10 common cannon. You have everything I need to evolve the common cannon to level 11 except another common cannon. Well under my system the evolution would accept an uncommon cannon to complete the evolution. Perhaps you find the uncommon cannon or buy it in the shop for 50k gold. 50k gold is a lot for players using common items.

You could also use a rare cannon to evolve you uncommon cannon; your epic cannon to evolve your rare cannon; your legendary cannon to evolve your epic cannon. There is not a level above legendary, so that is where the system maxes out.

I think my system imposes enough of an "astronomical price" while still being fair and helping players of all levels. I mean, go to the shop and look at the cost for cannons:
    Common: 5k gold
    Uncommon: 50k gold
    Rare: 750k
    Epic: 3k pearls
    Legendary: only from scrapping
If you are trying to upgrade your rare items, it is a huge sacrifice to give up an epic item (whether purchased from shop or discovered naturally). Same goes for giving up a legendary to evolve an epic. I think this would be a fair system that scales well from noobs to whales.

Why would I ever use a higher rarity of the same item to evolve something? I already know it doesn't scale well for me, I immediately scrap the lower-rarity item if I find a higher one. Who in their right mind would-

Wait, I think I see what you're getting at. Since you're using that item to upgrade another item, that means you can keep buying that item from the shop. Still not viable for free players from Rare up, not reasonable for anyone from Epic up. I've never seen a single person ever actually evolve a Common, for good reason. So, this system would only benefit people using Uncommons and maybe Rares. Rares are a little sketchy since it might be better to take the 9 random draws from the Epic Chest for 3900 pearls than to buy a single dupe for 3000 pearls.

How about, for one uncommon, you need x(idk how many) common weapons?

Getting Common duplicates is just as difficult as getting Uncommon duplicates, they only drop from one source. The only difference is that they don't require you to actually play the game.

Moving up the line, using so-and-so Uncommons for Rares or Rares for Epics would be cool. So cool, in fact, that I doubt Rovio would implement it. :D

I like it. Maybe at triple prices. Commons 15k, uncommons 150k, rares 2250k, epics 9k pearls.

    (Legendaries $1,800 lol)

I agree with what you your saying. There is only a few specific situations I would do this as well. I am a fairly new player (level 17) and have not spent money on the game. I recognize what I suggested is an astronomical price but that is what the OP asked for.
Also I am sure there would be a percentage of big spender players that would use pearls to overpay for the item they want rather than risk the uncertainty of buying chests.
What I suggested is no worse than we have now, which is you cannot buy the item you need at any price.
