Holy hell. It just hit me. "Great changes brought great disturbances."
@Dmg don , all that damage, all that destruction... Did the humans go to war? Yeah, well, I know that they went to war, but there's something else, isn't there?
Destruct 9 went down with civil war, am I right?
Crash 'n' Burn almost looks like a reactor melted down.
Foundry is just a derelict metalworking site... Workers on strike?
Midfight Movies is similarly abandoned, though it shows something more interesting. Movie posters show up, what, 2 years tops before the movie is released? That means that the year in which ACTUAL HUMANS used to watch movies there was 2087? Which means that, in 2087, Crash 'n' Burn was intact, untouched by the water.
Crude Awakenings is visible from another map. It also happens to be intact at the time. Which means that Crude Awakenings is almost surely in a different timeframe.
Again, Cold Riddance, Chillzone and Subzero have some very clear references to them being the same map. Plus those doors in Subzero... Were those three parts of a research facility?
Wayward Pains is an underground facility, but clearly shows signs of either having been carpetbombed or environmental degradation. It was, however, almost clearly designed with the floods in mind since it was underground.
A militant group(I'll call it The Eye since that's what the symbol looks like) destroyed the train tracks at Dropdead Gorge.
Clearly, some people did NOT like what Happy Oil was manufacturing, though I have a horrible feeling I know where that oil was coming from.
But you did some work on the maps as well, post the graphical update.
The lights in the sub at Subzero have turned green. The lights still shine at Fighthouse, as well as on ALL the other maps, which means that:-
A. There's a power source that does not rely on humans to run it, but well, then all this wouldn't even have happened, would it?
B. The humans are still out there. Which is really, in my opinion, cemented by the green lights in Subzero. I refuse to believe that ANYONE would make a mistake in turning red lights green in a graphical update. Especially when I noticed it in my very first time playing the events.
Dmg don, please, give us moar leads!
