Battle Bay is getting boring according to some players, because of no real updates, true?

I think the main cause for this is, that it is always a big effort to switch or change anything. They cannot remove the slow grind to getting better ships, crew and gear, because this is the main driver of the game. But maybe they can add changes which allow you to try something out without paying a lot of money (and only a reasonable amount).
