Battle Bay: American Marauder in "Tango Down" -- Clip

I just rewatched the video... I count 6 stuns and 4 frosts. And I still wrecked them.

 

I used to always lock targets, but when I started using the Tesla Bolt, I found that I often wanted to stun one target and then shoot another, in quick succession, so it was easier just to let it float.

I think if you're always moving and changing targets, then it's often more efficient to leave the lock off.

If you're a big shooter, hammering people with missiles at range, than you don't also want your carronade to be locked into a distant target when a speeder gets too close.

 

Thank you @The_Otherguy @Jasper21 @retryW for the explanations. After the update, carrying 2 stuns is meaningless now because my second stun gun is only stock Rare.

 

Unless you wanna stun two people at once! Might even be able to do a 1v3 with two stuns you play your cards right.
