Balance between the most controversial items in the game

I know how to really make defenders 'defenders': add a perk or base stat that makes the defender absorb some of the damage dealt to teammates ( similar to terraria's paladin shield). Now that I think of it, there could be an exclusive stat for each ship. I'll go make a thread on it real quick

 

I do dodge them but that doesn’t mean all of them. If they shoot it at the right time when I released a torpedo or lining a shot, then I’ll have little reaction time to use my nitro. And at the edge of Fire Bomb, we all know we’re gonna be ok fire for forever because of the crappy AOE. My bandage does like 96 healing and it’s a rare. 30 percent of that is 32 heals away. Which means I’m gonna get healed for 64. But oh goody cause I have a flare on me that a speeder or an enforcer who has the same speed as me shot me with and it does 75 damage or more a tick. (Can’t dodge flares by other yellow boats dumby). Also, try finding a battle without fire and cannons. They are the most overused items in the game because they are easy to hit people with, making them little skill and highly reliable. But a same level cannon as my torp can pull off half the damage of it. Which is stupid cause you can easily hit someone with a cannon, not a torpedo. (Unless you’re me) not a noob. Also, this isn’t complaining. If it was complaining, then it would sound like you, a temperamental 13 year old.

1. Defender absorbs all splash damage. Big torp hit the defender next to you? No problem! Your friendly defender will take it all.

2. Defenders have super thick armor. You’re saying a little sniper bullet can hit a critical component? PFFFT, please. Defenders are immune to crits

Alright no offense, but you’re at a level where 90% percent of the players miss 99% percent of his/her shots. Mostly because they can’t aim. I will say nice aiming. But seriously dude you aren’t at my level. Fire is way overused at my level. I think that’s what you don’t understand.

Yes, it buffs only one type of weapons, but luckily, everybody uses those weapons - cannons. So I don't know what you meant by that.

You can dodge some easily, but when everybody on enemies team has flare or bomb, it's impossible to dodge all of them.

30% is a lot. Difference between getting 1500 or 1050 by a bolt is a HUUUGE difference in NML.

To be honest it's almost a guaranteed win if two of your teammates are firebomb spammers. That's because, unlike mortars, which are mainly for causing panic with their visible splash radius. Firebombs are capable of causing both chaos and mass destruction. And it only takes a flick of the joystick to hit a target.
That's probably why I love torpedoes, they either hit or miss, there's no "you can decide exactly where it's going to land" kind of gimic. Even if I constantly lose to incendiary spam, I'll be glad that I don't feel disgusting inside, because I know I tried.

 

Switch to speeder and dodge all the firebombs. Works for me.
