An Idea of sorts-please read rovio :)

    Hi i have some ideas for some new things that could help with flare guns, instead of nerfing them.
    Also some just cause you know more variety.

    Water Gun: I know why would you need a water gun when your playing in water? Well that's salt water which is not good for your boat and causes rust plus whatever other pollutents are in the water. fresh water is best water, so this gun would go for the green slot and takes up 1 space.
    Any team player hit with water gun gets a movement speed boost, it also reduces the duration of fire on allies and gives them a heal that helps offset the fire damage then it heals for a certain amount for a period of time before it leaves.
    Foam blaster. This is something that goes for yellow slots and is a 2 slot item similar to blast cannon. When shot at an ally it's awesomeness can be felt as it helps reduce burn damage, hit an enemy and it weakens shields to a certain amount and slows their movement speed.
    Heavy Water Bucket, Its a big shield slip on that gives you bonus hp before using your actual big shields hp, when that amount is depleted to 0, it sends a shockwave that if an ally lowers cd, while giving shield regeneration. If an enemy it lowers turret speed and movement speed.

    PULSE Bomb, yellow 2 slot item that explodes from the ship, stunning all opponents in a small area for a duration, however the ship using the pulse bomb cannot attack until a cooldown .It's still a wip.

    The Scuttle, it's a green slot 2 item that moves the tow cable on the fixer to another ally, any damage an ally receives while the scuttle is active gains hp every 2 seconds for a certain amount, if the fixer is hit, the fixer is not dealt the damage but the towed instead receives damage and the scuttle goes on CD.

    Rage:this is for the big blue defenders, and is a two slot item. This activates the giant exhaust pipe thing on the defender, they gain a movement speed boost and a small timer. They move towards their opponent gaining speed, when it's near an opponent it detonated sending a shockwave slowing enemy movement speed and buffing own shields. However it lowers the users damage but they are able to take more hits.

    Rhino, this is a harpoon that is available on all boats as it pulls in an enemy for a small time until it unlodges itself, it does damage when it hits, pulls and and exits.

    LDE: or the Last Ditch Effort is a green item 4 slot, when a fixer is about to die, they can use this and disables all red and yellow slots and disabling duct tape, the speeder gains movement speed with the goal the absorb as much hits as they possibly can before the time runs out. When the time runs out, any damage dealt to the fixer will kill it and the damage it receives will heal it's team by a set portion.

    Let me know about any critiques or thoughts on the items. These are just a few ideas.

    the defender fixer and enforcer items seem like special abilities rather then items for mk8

    They do sound like abilities. Pulse bomb is more of a mine you place on yourself instead of the water.
    I'll fix them accordingly when I get some more thought with it. These are just some ideas but it wouldn't hurt for some abilities.

    Weapons/items and abilities:
    Slingshot is a red two slot weapon item that throws a giant metal ball into a certain location, it fires in a low arc and hits within a small area, any enemy ship within the area have their shields debuffed with shattered. Fire weapons and criticals do not gain bonus damage from this. When a shield is hit the debuf timer counts from 5 to 0. When the timer hits zero, the debuff is removed and the enemy loses a percentage of maximum shield.

    SRFM. Imagine the missle launcher but short ranged with no spread.

    Twin bolt. This is a 2 slot red item that shoots two bolts that lodge into an enemy. The first bolt does low damage but applies a stack buff for 3 seconds, if another bolt hits the same boat, the second bolt does bonus damage and stuns the user for 2 seconds.The first shot makes the twin bolt go on a 2 second CD so it can fire again. If the second bolt is not shot or both bolts are shot, it goes on a 16.8 sec cd.

    Double barrel: imagine 2 carronades made into one weapon with similar range, more projectiles, similar spread and slightly less damage.

    Anchor: 2 slot red weapon that fires an anchor that does damage and slows the enemy

    Arc: this is a long range red one slot weapon that shoots 3 times before it goes on cd. This cannot crit but has longer range than the sniper and shoots as fast. However the closer the enemy ship is the worse it gets until it does it's lowest damage of 50. It has a CD of 11.1.

    Sticky is a 1 slot item with a 3 second CD. This is a small box that can be placed on walls, ice, boats, ect. It stays their until it an enemy boat gets near, it then explodes causing medium damage in a small area. However, these can be shot at by enemy team and don't do too much damage.

    Harr'poon: this is a one slot red item with 5 sec cd for pesky speeders and enforcers the defenders can use.This is a harpoon with good range and speed. But the farther the throw the slower the speed is.It pulls the enemy rapidly towards you dealing damage when hit, then turning into dot during pull and damage going out. It also slows the enemy targets movement speed.

    Heat seeker. This is a torp that actively finds the nearest target and blows up doing decent damage but has a long cd.

    Item: see water gun, foam blaster.
    The Sling. This is a tether cord that is placed on the water. When an enemy passes onto the cord. They are shot at tremendous speed towards the nearest wall opposite of where the enemy move. The enemy will be sent huddling fast towards the nearest wall that the cannon and boat will automatically be pointed to a random direction.

    Abilities: see rage,lde, rhino, scuttle, pulse bomb, heavy water bucket.
    Mirage: speeder boats need something so this is an ability to create a clone yellow boat only equipped with a std cannon and your speed with very low hp of 400. It randomly travels toward the nearest enemy and shoots a constant 100 damage until it's destroyed. Buying you time to either run away or use it to send chaos into the field.
    Turn n burn. This is an ability that shoots a jet of fire from the front, back and sides of the ship. This is for close quarters only this weapon has a base damage of 2 and lasts 5 seconds. The jet is separated into 2 sections, a deeper red that does base damage and the orange red that does half base damage.
    Atlas: this buffs all shields by 1.5x their amount and sends all enemies to attack that target. more shield but you also take more damage
    Broadside. This selects a random target then it cycles through any cannon,carronade, missle,and railgun weapons excluding torps and mortars and shoots all of them with no cd.Once it reaches the last usable weapon it goes on a long cd along with all used weapons. This does not factor in waves or other objects.
    Weights: boosts player shields, reduces speed for a duration.
    Lightning bolt: boosts speed, lowers maneuvering and defense.
    Dart: boosts attack damage, increases CD slightly for a duration
    Needle: Boosts healing, lowers up for a duration
    Stealth: Can turn invisible for 4 seconds but cannot shoot.
    Overcharge: select one weapon and it boosts its damage however other weapons are locked.
    Ice cap: shoots a slow moving disk of cold in the water that travels until it hits a wall, slowing any that are in the disks area.

    New items in shop: Skins
    Skins allow you to personalize your boat with some flair starting with camo[assorted colors],colors, and logos, and decals with 3 different paint types of pearl, 2 tone and normal.
    A new island to explore with the new location--"deep trouble", "off 44" under a fallen freeway system with places to duck, "murky atoll" forget that nice pristine color of the water, this is murky dark green, "the fallen"
    New menu for selection of new locations
    Custom logo: available after a certain level
    Bundle: skin and pearls bundle
    Bundle:logo and pearls bundle
    Bundle: logo, skin, pearl and weapons bundle
    Bundle: weapon and pearls bundle
    Top off bundle: specify amount of gold and sugar is filled
    Player name search
    New trainer Winter: she deals with freeze perks and slows
    More trainers
    New game mode: Sugar bowl: a new way to get more sugar, it's like an escort for a neutral ship in the middle of the map that follows you when a player gets close to it, you travel with it to your base to win the game.
    New game mode: Gold Mine: protect the teams mine while trying to damage your opponents mine, first mine to blow up(and yes their will be an explosion) wins.
    Better match
    Frozen grenade: it's like grenade just instead of fire damage it slows you and does frozen damage.
    More explosions
    New trainer Lazr-us: deals with lazer type weapons
    More lore(creepy and non)
