Frost + Big Torp

80% of speeders with frost + big torp. This already gets boring.

Yeah. This coward trend is ruining the game. Frustrating battles against a sneaky ship with a one-shot weapon. Hell no.
And yes, most of the speeders use this combo...
I have some suggestions:
-big dmg nerf for the big torp.
-remove the frost combo, making it decrease the dmg
-Make the big torp a 3 slot points weapon
-Make the frost blaster 2 slot points
-slow down every torp.


And the fire dmg shouldn't be accumulated. Fire spammers are f#cking annoying too.

This tactic can be also treated like a exploit.
So, devs,, the non frost-torp players are waiting for a necessary balance.

I agree that frost + torpedo combo needs nerf. I really don’t care if frost gets nerfed cuz I hit people IN MOVEMENT. That how a torpedo player should play.

Fire + Explosive also needs combo.
Defenders HP and defense, also. Two 20k Defenders fleeting with Flare + Explosive can rule the server. Check Benjen and Obresk, Elitist and Bunta. Can’t believe nobody is seeing this, it’s annoying lol.

Can't stand a combo , log on to forums and shout on devs to nerf it down!
No wonder why u need SKILL to play the game!
Instead just try to work on how to deal with it!

I’ve been watching some of YSLs videos of her using it. She’s running legendary big torp and t5 epic frost, so she’s definitely on the powerful end of this, and she can do about 4k damage. But it still takes her 3 hits (stun, frost, torp). A shooter at her level could easily do that kind of damage in 3 hits, with max crit snipers and rail guns, and they’re really no easier to avoid. Plus they can do it at range without taking any risks.

I tried the frost+torp combo, and I couldn’t hit anything with frost or torp (it’s not as easy as it looks), and you have to get dangerously close to the unfriends, and then set it up under fire. And I often just got stunned and shredded by unfriend speeders. I ended up switching back to my regular weapons.

 

YSL is she not he.

 

The only possibility would be removing the stun if you get frosted or removing the frost if you get stunned. Stunning frosting and hitting is no fun at all. This is coming from a ex frost torp user.

 

How about we stop making new maps that specifically cater to speeders and torpedos.

 

Reading players whining every time is funny.

 

Especially shooter I love when shooters whine about how other ships are op while the shooter is the only ship with extra slot point.

 

As I said it's partly their fault if they get frost-torped - when there are not any openings as the team stays stick together, I can't do much with my 2 torps.
I can understand their frustration though, but players who are constantly whining should maybe ask themself why they get frost-torped - and work to evade properly.

I think we are talking about you being frozen and you are dead ... in the best case you are left with some life so that a small shot will leave you out of battle.
In this case big torp is the combo that does more damage.
I'm a shooter and I have extra slots as you say, but if I'm frozen, I can not do much with them.
There are many combos that are lethal like @Eeyore said, but frost + big is unique in damage, without taking into account that if you are near a wall, you are also damaged.
My extra slots can be compared with your tesla shield, tesla bolt , frost launcher & blaster... + speed

No it can’t. Speed already comes at a high price. We pay for it by having hardly any hp, and then it’s completely negated by fast weapons like the sniper.

Yellow items are slot-for-slot equivilent to any other coloured item. And then for some reason, shooters still have an an extra slot, and more armour over every other ship.

 

You are being frosted not stunned you can still use your weapons right? Any good speeder is dead with 3 good solid shots. Using frost torp is incredibly hard as the blaster has straight projectile and waves often interfere with that also speeders have very low profile even a slight wave can obstruct blaster. You have to go insanely close to opponents to freeze them. See one of American Marauders video where he was boasting about how he was stunned frosted and stunned still managed to kill YSL and other speeder that is how frost was useless before everyone was able dodge it.

 

Clearly we are not talking about players with a lot of life ... AmericanMarauder has the rest to endure and do that.
