Option to turn off chat/online status

I'm a loner and asocial person who loves to be alone. I don't like to chat or socialize with anyone (Kind of weird, I know), so basically I won't use the chat functionality. I just want to play this game. I would like to have an option in the battle bay to turn-off the chat functionality/online status. Why ?

Due to my asocial mindset, I was not part of any guild and I won't fleet with anyone. I usually get random guild requests and fleet request which I won't respond back (Won't accept or reject).

After battle bay introduced guild rivalry, I got numerous guild requests due to my no guild association status. One particular person who invited me to his guild and regularly put personal chat to join his guild, which I never responded back. After getting these many requests and chats from various gamers, I finally created my own guild (where I'm the only member). But what happened next was too disappointing, the person who regularly spammed my inbox to join his guild showed up and started swearing on his local language. Specifically a word which hurt me most (mother f**ker), in my tradition we believes mother is on top of all gods. I've reported this user, but he is still active in the game. I've spent a lot of money in this game, so I won't like to be treated in this way.

Agreed that there should be option to switch your mode to offline when you don't want to fleet.

About that other thing, that you were hurt about his words. I have a friend who told me once that if someone insults you and get offended, that is all on you. Those are just words from a stranger, why you should get offended by that?

This probably doesn't come out right though, english it not my first language and it's hard to explain exactly what I mean.

Anyways I've been trying to live like that and if someone says something mean to me I just ignore it or just laugh it out. But that's just me, maybe doesn't fit for everyone.

I support you on this. We should have option to change our online/offline status. But i am wondering why you accepted his friend request given that you are asocial and loner ? And these swearing people should be banned. I hope rovio takes some action against him.

 

To the OP you should reject guild requests it is a respectful way of saying no without talking to them. You can also delete friends in the list. You have given some interesting options and it would be a good item to have online. Swearing an insulting people has not place in the game. The only feedback I will reiterate is to remember ignoring a request might send a different message then rejecting the request. Good luck in you battle bay indevors

 

You can report him for harassment. Odds are he's done this before. If he gets enough reports, he'll probably get suspended or banned.
