We’ve all seen the intense rivalry occurring this week between Silencio and The Dream Team. It’s creating a lot of interest. So I was thinking, would there be a way of creating some infrequent intense rivalries such as this.

So here’s my idea, ‘Super Rewards Week for guild rivalries’. It would probably need a catchier name, but I’m leaving it like this for now as it’s self explanatory.

Here’s how it would work. So at rare times, the Devs declare that this guild rivalry week would be a super rewards week. (I’d envisage that these would rare be perhaps one week every 3 months). There would be no notice given in advance, and any newly created guild would not be eligible to take part (to prevent guilds who manipulate their number of quests, or guild hop from gaining an unfair advantage). Perhaps there could be some different ‘longer term’ method of determining which guilds faces each other to ensure matchup were as fair as possible - perhaps including total guild infamy as a secondary matching factor.

The reward for positions 2-6 would be unchanged, but the rewards for finishing first would be massive (I’ll leave it to Devs to imagine how good they would be, but they would need to be amazing, something much better than has been seen before. Perhaps the equivalent of cashing in 1000 event coins. But whatever was chosen, they would need to be too good to be true.

And hopefully that would create a similar buzz for all players that we’re seeing generated by the Silencio v The Dream Team rivalry.

So that’s my idea. What do you think? If you spot any weaknesses - please consider also pointing out any potential solutions in your reply.

I think they have to make new rules to rivalries or something else, since both Silencio and Dream Team guilds were catched throwing matches and swapping players from other guilds. Players need to promote fair competition first.

Swapping players in and out isn’t against the rules. With my idea, the existing rules would apply - you need to be in the guild for the whole of the rivalry to qualify for the rewards.

If anyone has any evidence of thrown matches, I’d encourage them to report the offenders using the in-game reporting tool. It is a separate issue to my idea, please can we keep on topic.

my point is, your idea is great, but would only apply for fair competition, i was not being off topic. Match-throwing it's still and a yet to be fixed issue. Cheating guilds should not be eligible for super rewards..

    regards.

Is this the intense rivalry you have been talking about?

Only one team was caught throwing matches.

As for player swapping. Both teams did it.

But don't take my word for it. Go on VIP ask a neutral person like ms. Jazmella who was throwing ranked games during rivalry. The answer will be obvipus.

Even on player from super team admitted to dying on purpose in VIP chat. Weird.

    Super rivalry event:

Puts you in a rivalry with 1 other guild for an event. This event is only 1v1 matches against the other guilds players. The more games played the higher rewards for both at the end. The most wins gets the most rewards. Rewards are pretty good

Nice idea. Match-ups would need to be fully and only based on Guild Infamy and not # of quests completed to be fair. Guild invites could also be locked to prevent bringing in high-powered players for the duration of the super rewards.

I'm against guilds having 100 players participating in rivalry. Once they fix that issue I think special rivalries wouldn't be bad.
