Are legendary box coins supposed to persist?

for some reason the 200 coins of progress I had towards my legendary perks are gone. This makes zero sense. If the progress disappeared then there would be no need for a p bar, as it would still only be worth it after you had collected all 900 coins. I assumed from the way you guys set this up that coin progress would remain.

Is this progress reset deliberate? If it is I feel like the purpose of it was to dupe me into spending the coins that I had been saving towards my legendary box.

The battle coins need to be made more clear than “they will remain for some time” which is merely a good way to eschew making any firm decisions. Please clarify.

 

the BC reset when a new event appears. make sure to save them up and use them in bursts of 900

Then what is the point of the progress bar at all if you still have to hoard all of your coins for a month and wait till you have 900 to spend them? I thought the whole point was that you wouldn’t have to do that. Very deceptive

Haha I get about 20 to 30 coins per event, max. Every person I 1v1’d was NML when I looked them up afterwards... so even though I want that golden chilly cannon perk badly, the regular game is still more fun... the other tdms were more fun for me though....

 

Besides, isn’t 4 events basically a month? They only seem to do one a week

 

Yep, the matchmaking makes events pretty much a handout to the biggest players

It feels like they put the bar in there just to trick me into throwing away all my coins. I haven’t played an event since. I was at around 200 coins now I have one. I feel pretty ripped off.

 

yea it sucks to get ripped off by something given for free.

- Only by spending coins will you gain contribution towards the legendary chest. Hoarding coins won't help. So let's say you have 1080 unspent coins, you have to spend them on the other chests first every time, in order to gain legendary chest contribution.

That is what made me spend them, all excited to see what I got. Then five pages of people complaining about the matchmaking later, she drops in with “progress on leg bar no continue” like it’s buried on Page 1005 of the Warren Report.

 

There was also mention of a warning, which I assume was posted on a sticky note in the Rovio break room and not on the internet, that if progress did not carry over it would be made abundantly clear. The way you guys set it up the only explanation is that you want to dupe people into throwing away coins.

I didn’t even bother with the last event, the 2 on 2. Probably won’t be a punching bag for NML guys to practice two shotting this next event, either. Its a game it’s supposed to be a fun diversion, not a chance for some dude in Finland to prove how tricky he can be
