Rovio gave up on battle bay?

First of all I'm an mk5 defender at 3600. I run standard cannon, explosive cannon and napalm.

The games not dying. The devs are on holiday. Just be patient and have fun till the next update comes out.

 

Ok now you're just over exaggerating

 

I see a lot of new players floating in the bay. That's all that really matters I think.
The game is pretty good for getting you hooked. You initially go up against some bots and feel badass when you first get in.
The game then feeds you progress somewhat quickly before slowing you down. f2p players can still progress but watching ads and especially spending money gets you going faster.
Even spending money is no guarantee you'll get the equipment you want so you spend more
You get to watch some awesome videos of nightmare players in action and play, watch ads, buy pearls, because you want to be like them.

It's not until people get to Ace 2(?) they seem to start feeling down on the game to the point of quitting. At that point they've made some bank on that player.

I don't think they've given up, I think they have a delicate balance and making major changes will hurt that.
I'm sure we'll see new maps. Some new weapons, because that will start everyone spending again but I don't see many changes happening beyond that.
Once you have something successful you let it play out.

I made it to give the DEVS and ROVIO some insights into their own game. Surely they know more than me but this acts like a survey. Don't know why they don't do surveys....it's helpful in making the next goal...

Oh they are definitely making profit from battle bay.
There revenue increased in second quarter by 94 percent due angry bird movie and BATTLE BAY and one more angry bird game. Check the link for specifics.
So I hope that clarifies the doubt about are they making money or not.
Second pt lot of people are saying about if they rush the update the game will become bad and it will not be good and all.
Listen we are not asking them to full fill our whole lot of demands with one massive update and make it all Christmasy for us just bring content out consistently like make guilds better in one update then make tourneys happen in next this will keep the game from becoming boring.

Guess I was wrong about proper update thing I apologize for that thanks for pointing it out. I have removed that sentence from my post.
What I should have and wanted to say was @devs should give us some teasers on what they are working and ETA.

 

Debuggers exist and it's not hard making new things, it's hard for shareholders to have the guts to throw money at them and tell them make it interesting.

 

I wasn't sure, but Rovio is, or will be, publicly traded. Maybe we should stop trying to buy legendary items and become shareholders ourselves.

 

OK I get a generous amount of vacation time- 4 weeks a year- but when I can use it is based on the needs of my job. I feel very disdainful of this attitude of, oh we just always take August off even though new game has been out for only about 4 months, so can't update. Not impressed by that kind of work ethic. Not impressed at all.

 

Also, who lets everyone go at the same time??

 

They didnt, half the team was gone for a month, and the other half the month after for vacations.
Soooo they were short staffed for two months.

I dont hate, devs have life lol. I do think it was bad timing to global launch and not have updates ready so the game doesnt get stale
