Is fire bomb relevant later on?

Im currently around 900-1000 infamy and just picked up a legendary fire bomb. Is this used regularly in higher leagues?

I usually play shooter or fixer. Currently lvl 16.

 

That's great, that u have a legendary fire bomb...It's used in all leagues....So u should have no problem using it... It's one of those weapons I love the most to use.

 

What's your loadout? I'm curious...

 

Mortar style weapons in general dont play a huge part of high infamy gameplay - Here's a recap I did of the top 50 recently:

But meta's evolve over time and balance patches mix things up -- Alot of screenshots seems to indicate that using Fire Bomb is a good way to gain more stars, so probably a very nice item to use while working your way up!

 

Thanks for that info....It was really helpful...Now it seems like Speeders are the one that needs to be nerfed. (Just my thought). Other than that, seems like Fire bombs are good till 2500-2700 Infamy.

 

YES. Check out Porthos' video on "How to Play Shooter" where a high level Shooter, Satanas, uses 2-3 Fire Bombs and causes a lot of havoc. I would certainly use it a lot. Wish I had that!

 

3 fire bomba and 2 snipers with extra damage to burning enemies in training. Such an awesome strat. I want to try it one day.

And yes firebombs are great.

 

Have you being in a match against Satanas? I don't know how many fire boms he is carrying, but he sure will ignite the RNGsus out of you. I regret to have scrapped the rare fire bombs I got, those things do so much damage, but you certanly need skills to properly inflict the most damage.

It is a mortar type, I agree, but even on close combat situations it is usefull, unlike the other mortars. Or maybe you can freeze an enemy and then land the fire bomb, it could be a sweet combo to obliterate an oponent. Also, you can spam that thing and even in the very edge, the enemy will catch fire and be burning for a lot of seconds, and with the duration perks that thing is a monster weapon.

I wouldn't rule it out of top players arsenal, I think its time to be one of the favorite ones will come very soon.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm still struggling to break 1k infamy but this thing is awesome... hits for 60 for 15 secs without upgrading.

That's the same setup I use....I have a MK4 shooter so I have added a long range mortar too.

 

Holy crud... A legendary as level 17..

I won't get one even at level 50... lol
